Speaking of which, the windows do a decent job blocking out most of the noise, though if you’re super sensitive to sound, maybe pack some earplugs just in case.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood – not just the obvious tourist spots everyone mentions. When I asked about finding a good coffee place that wasn’t overrun with tour groups, they pointed me toward this tiny spot about three blocks away that I never would have found on my own. And honestly, that kind of local insight is worth its weight in gold when you’re trying to get a feel for Athens beyond the Acropolis crowds. The whole check-in process was pretty smooth too, though I’d recommend confirming your arrival time ahead of time since it’s not a massive hotel with 24-hour front desk coverage. The cleaning service kept everything spotless during my stay – I mean, they even folded my clothes that I’d left scattered around, which was embarrassing but appreciated. With that 8.9 rating, I can see why people keep coming back here. It’s got that sweet spot of being comfortable and well-located without feeling like you’re paying for a bunch of fancy amenities you’ll never use.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Athens at least two months ahead for major events like cultural festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near ancient attractions.

  The extra space in the apartment. Two small balconies. The location was fantastic- straight onto a bustling street with loads of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The ease of access and clear instructions from the host were easy and clear to understand.
  
  What could be improved: The lighting in the hallway outside did not work which was tricky at night when climbing the stairs. But using the light on a phone meant this was not a big issue.

  What could be improved: Le fait de ne pas pouvoir obtenir une facture via Booking, ce qui relève de booking et pas du propriétaire. Par ailleurs, un point mineur mais la porte d'une des salles de bain fait énormément de bruit à l'ouvertue et fermeture.
