But sometimes the places with the most understated names turn out to be the real gems, and that’s exactly what happened here.

What struck me immediately was how this place gets the apartment-style accommodation thing just right. I mean, we’ve all stayed in those hotel rooms that claim to have kitchenettes but really just have a mini-fridge and a coffee maker that barely works. This is actually different – you get proper living spaces with kitchens you’d genuinely want to use, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re staying for more than just a night or two. The suites have this lived-in quality that feels authentic rather than sterile, like someone actually thought about how real people live and travel. And with a 9.7 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who feels this way.

The thing about Athens is that location really makes or breaks your experience, especially if you want to walk to the main sites without dealing with the chaos of constantly hailing taxis or figuring out the metro system. What I love about staying here is that you’re positioned in a way where you can actually experience the city like locals do – not just the tourist bubble around the Acropolis. You’ll hear the sounds of real Athenian life in the mornings (which, fair warning, includes some spirited conversations between neighbors and the occasional motorbike), but it’s never overwhelming. The four-star rating feels spot-on because while everything is comfortable and well-maintained, it’s not trying too hard to be fancy in that exhausting way some hotels do.

Actually, one of my favorite things was having space to spread out after long days of walking around the ancient sites. There’s something to be said for being able to come back, kick off your shoes, and maybe prepare some of those amazing Greek ingredients you picked up at the local markets. The apartments give you that flexibility without sacrificing the service aspects you want when you’re traveling – someone’s still taking care of the details so you don’t have to. It’s that sweet spot between independence and being looked after, which can be surprisingly hard to find in Athens where you’re either stuck in a tiny hotel room or dealing with sketchy short-term rental situations.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Athens at least two months ahead for major events like cultural festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near ancient attractions.

  We stayed in May in top floor terrace apartment in a quiet location for family holidays. The kind host greeted us on arrival to make sure that everything was ok. Housekeeping was available every second day apart from Sunday. Close to supermarket, coffee shops, bus stop or Tzitziphies tram stop. Easy access to Athens centre by bus or local Flisvos beach by tram. Generally everything was as advertised, fully recommended.

  the apartment is spotless clean and nicely decorated. everything is band new and clean. the staff is always available to help. there is private parking which is a big plus. the bed is very comfortable. this is really true value for money. highly recommended.

  Was amazing! Was totally cleaned and the hospitality was very good .. very secure for kids and especially the balcony. The tv was very nice and the area quiet. It was next to onaseio that we had our daughter. And is the middle of a supermarket and other places for kids.

  Very clean and well equipped apartment! Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Nice terrace. Every two days they change the towels, but no one has bother us – they did that when we were not in the apartment. Most important for us was the parking – infront of the building they have private parking spot for each apartment, so you always have where to park – not problem with this. All the pictures here that they have are real. Next to the building there is very good restaurant. Also there are several other restaurants in 5-10 min walk. Supermarket is 3 min walk and works till 11PM. We took sight seeing bus and they have stop for Planetarium – this stop is around 5 min walk from the appartment. The port of Pirea is 10 min by car/taxi. Calm neighbourhood, quite at night – also important for us as we are with small kids. Next to the building is the trolley stop that goes directly to the city center. Also taxi service is very good. We had a great time! I definitely recommend 10 Apartments and Suites Athens!
