I’d grab coffee from the little place around the corner each morning and watch the city wake up – there’s something special about being right there in the middle of it all instead of staying in some sterile hotel district. The metro entrance is right there too, so getting to Piraeus for the islands or out to the airport is dead simple. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night despite being so central – the windows are actually decent quality, which you can’t always count on in city centers.

The apartment itself has this modern-but-cozy thing going on that works really well. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just ordered in bulk from a hotel supply catalog, you know? The kitchen is properly equipped (I’m talking real knives, not those useless hotel butter knives), so if you’re staying for more than a couple nights and want to hit up the local markets, you can actually cook something decent. The bed was honestly one of the more comfortable ones I’ve slept in during my Athens visits – firm but not like sleeping on concrete. And the shower pressure? Thank god, it’s actually strong enough to rinse shampoo out of your hair, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong.

I should mention the staff too – they’re not hovering around like typical hotel staff, but when you need something, they actually know their stuff about the neighborhood. The woman at check-in gave me specific recommendations for tavernas that weren’t just the tourist traps on every travel blog. She pointed me toward this little place on Mitropoleos where locals actually eat, and honestly, it ended up being one of my best meals in the city.

The whole experience feels more authentic somehow – like you’re getting a genuine taste of living in central Athens rather than just being a tourist passing through. With a 9.3 rating, I wasn’t surprised to find out it books up pretty quickly, especially during the shoulder seasons when the weather’s perfect but the crowds aren’t completely insane. If you’re the type who likes having your own space but still wants to be in the thick of things, this place really delivers on both fronts.

  The host was easily accessible by phone and very accommodating. It was a short walk from Syntagma Square where you can access public transportation. The kitchen had everything we need plus a washer/ dryer. Both bathrooms had a shower and bath supplies. The apartment was clean, spacious and cute decor. I would give it 9 if it wasn’t for the noise issue.

  A fantastic apartment where every detail has been thought of. Two bed room with 2 TV screen (with Netflix, Youtube etc.and eathing room with 3.th TV). Wi- fi. Everything is available – coffee, tea, all kinds of detergents, liquid soap, shower gel and hair shampoo.
  Perfect location – Acropol, Pantheon, Roman Agora, Plaka, park, etc. Can be reached by foot in 5-15 min.
  I recommend it to everyone – as for couples and families till 6 people.
