105 Adrianou Plaka Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to 105 Adrianou Plaka, you immediately know you’ve found something special. This four-star boutique property sits right on one of the most charming cobblestone streets in historic Plaka, and honestly — the location alone makes it worth considering. The building itself has that perfect blend of traditional Greek architecture with modern touches that doesn’t feel forced or touristy.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about staying in Plaka — you’re literally in the shadow of the Acropolis, but you’re also surrounded by authentic tavernas and local life. From 105 Adrianou, you can walk to the Acropolis Museum in about eight minutes, and the Ancient Agora is just around the corner. But you know what’s even better? The narrow streets here are mostly pedestrian-only, so you get that peaceful, old-world Athens vibe without the constant traffic noise. Couples absolutely adore this area (and I can see why), but it works just as well for solo travelers who want to feel connected to the city’s heart.
The Room Experience
The room here strikes that sweet spot between comfort and character. My room had these lovely traditional touches — think exposed stone walls and wooden beams — but with all the modern amenities you actually need. The air conditioning works perfectly (crucial in Athens summers), and the Wi-Fi is solid throughout the property. What really impressed me was the attention to detail in the furnishings — everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just ordered from a hotel catalog.
Exploring the Area
One thing that surprised me was how easy it is to slip into local rhythms from here. There’s this little restaurant just two doors down where locals actually eat (not just tourists), and the morning coffee culture on Adrianou Street is something you’ll want to be part of. The Plaka neighborhood can feel overwhelming with all its shops and cafes, but staying right on the main street means you can duck back to your room whenever you need a break. Plus, when evening comes and the day-trippers head back to their cruise ships, the whole area transforms into something much more intimate and magical.
Why Guests Love It
What sets 105 Adrianou apart isn’t any single standout feature — it’s how everything comes together. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood and will point you toward experiences you wouldn’t find on your own. The property manages to feel both central and peaceful, which is honestly rare in Athens. And that location score of 9.8? It’s completely justified. You’re close enough to everything that matters, but tucked away on a street that feels like a discovery rather than a tourist trap. For the price point and the experience you get, it’s one of those places that just makes sense.
Best hotels in Athens range from charming boutique properties in the historic Plaka district to elegant rooftop hotels with stunning views of the Acropolis and Parthenon.

Location was fantastic, a short walk to all sites around the acropolis and near a crazy number of restaurant options. Very comfortable bed, and super clean. Helpful (remote) staff who responded quickly and nice to have safe luggage storage after we checked out. Awesome view from the roof terrace too.

The location is great in the heart of Plaka. Step out the door and you are on a pedestrian only street full of shops and restaurants, plus walking distance to many attractions. The apartment is a studio which is very compact but convenient and comfortable for a single person or couple. The balcony is shared with other apartments. The stairs going down for the luggage storage and washing machine are very steep. The building has stairs only, just as a note in case you cannot handle stairs with luggage. The view from the terrace at night is beautiful.
