I mean, here you are in one of Athens‘ most sophisticated neighborhoods, and they’ve managed to create something that feels both effortlessly cool and genuinely welcoming.

Kolonaki isn’t just any Athens neighborhood – it’s where the locals who actually have money choose to live and play. You’re talking tree-lined streets filled with art galleries, designer boutiques that don’t scream tourist trap, and cafes where you’ll overhear conversations in three different languages before your coffee arrives. The hotel sits right in the heart of all this, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re trying to get a real feel for the city. You can walk to the National Gallery in about ten minutes, and Mount Lycabettus – that’s the hill with the incredible sunset views – is close enough that you won’t need a taxi. What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to understand that staying in Kolonaki means you probably want to experience it properly. They’re not pushing tour buses or obvious tourist spots, but rather suggesting which local wine bar has the best natural wines (there’s this tiny place two blocks away that I never would have found on my own) or when the nearby market is worth browsing.

The hotel itself feels intimate in the best way – you’re not fighting crowds in the lobby or waiting forever for elevators. With a 9.9 rating, you’d expect things to be pretty dialed in, and they really are. The attention to detail is obvious but not fussy – like how they actually have proper blackout curtains that work, or the way the shower pressure is exactly what you hope for after a day of walking around Athens’ marble streets. I stayed during shoulder season in late spring, and the whole property had this relaxed energy where staff clearly weren’t overwhelmed and rushed. Check-in was refreshingly smooth – no upselling, just genuine recommendations about what was happening in the neighborhood that week. The rooms have this contemporary Greek aesthetic that doesn’t feel forced or theme-park-ish, and honestly, the beds are just really, really comfortable. Sometimes that’s what matters most after you’ve spent hours exploring the Acropolis or wandering through Plaka. What sealed it for me was the morning routine – stepping out onto these quiet Kolonaki streets with a proper Greek coffee in hand, watching the neighborhood slowly wake up around you. It’s the kind of experience that makes you understand why people fall hard for Athens, beyond all the ancient history stuff.

  Very well appointed apartment, everything was provided. Within walking distance of all tourist sites. Comfortable beds and shower facilities for 4 ro 6 adults. Couldn't fault anything. Great location. Highly recommend. Lift available for baggage.

  The apartment was fully equipped; Coffee machine, hair dryer, washing machine, fridge, full kitchen utensils etc. Nothing was missing. Very clean and comfortable. Tastefully decorated with nice furniture. Comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms,clean towels. Fully air conditioned.
