The AC was a godsend during my August visit, and I actually got decent sleep despite being in the city center. The staff seemed to know the area really well too – when I asked about finding a good spot to watch the sunset that wasn’t crawling with crowds, the front desk guy gave me directions to this little hill that ended up being perfect.

What I really appreciated was how the place felt authentically Greek without being kitschy about it. No fake olive branches or tourist-trap nonsense, just clean lines and local touches that felt natural. The breakfast was simple but good – proper Greek yogurt, local honey, decent coffee (though honestly, you’ll find better coffee at the little place around the corner, but that’s true anywhere in Greece). Check-in was smooth, and they actually had useful recommendations instead of just handing you a generic tourist map. I’d definitely stay here again, especially since it hits that sweet spot of being comfortable and well-located without costing a fortune. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than in a hotel bubble.
