Not just because the Greek yogurt was incredible (though it was), but because watching the fishing boats head out while you’re planning your day feels like vacation the way it’s supposed to feel.

The resort itself strikes this interesting balance – it’s got all the luxury touches you’d expect from a 9.5-rated property, but nothing feels over-the-top or trying too hard. The pool area is beautifully designed without being Instagram-obsessed, if that makes sense. I actually preferred it in the late afternoon when the families had moved on and you could hear the water lapping against the rocks below. The spa is tucked away enough that you forget you’re at a resort at all – I mean, the treatment rooms have these windows that frame the coastline like living paintings.

Parking was easier than I expected, which matters if you’re planning day trips to explore the area. And you should explore – the resort’s location means you can actually walk to some legitimate local spots, not just tourist traps. There’s this little taverna about ten minutes down the coastal path that serves the kind of grilled octopus that makes you reconsider everything you thought you knew about seafood.

The only thing I’d mention is that summer months can get pretty busy around the pool and beach areas – but honestly, even then it never felt crowded. The property’s large enough that you can always find your own quiet corner. I ended up spending a lot of time on my balcony anyway, just watching the light change on the water throughout the day. It’s that kind of place where doing nothing feels like exactly what you should be doing. When a resort manages to make relaxation feel like an achievement rather than laziness, they’re doing something right.
