Acropolis Elegant Penthouse Overview
You know what really struck me when I first walked into the Acropolis Elegant Penthouse? The light. I mean, you expect decent views when you’re staying somewhere with “penthouse” in the name, but this place actually delivers – and then some. The way the morning sun filters through those floor-to-ceiling windows and hits the marble floors is honestly pretty spectacular. It’s the kind of thing that makes you pause with your coffee cup halfway to your lips.
The space itself feels more like staying in someone’s well-appointed apartment than a typical hotel room, which I suppose makes sense given the setup. There’s this lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake – the furniture looks chosen, not just ordered from a catalog, and the kitchen area is actually functional (not just for show like in so many places). I ended up making breakfast there most mornings because, well, why wouldn’t you when you’ve got that view of the city waking up? The bathroom deserves a mention too – that rainfall shower head and the heated floors are small touches that really matter when you’re dealing with those surprisingly chilly Athens mornings, even in summer.
What really sets this place apart though is how it manages to feel both central and peaceful at the same time. You’re close enough to hear the city humming below, but high enough that it never gets overwhelming. I stayed during what locals call the “shoulder season” – late September – and the rooftop terrace became my evening ritual spot. There’s something about watching the Acropolis light up at sunset while you’re sipping wine that makes you understand why people have been drawn to this city for thousands of years. The 9.1 rating honestly feels about right – it’s not perfect (the elevator is a bit temperamental, and you’ll want to pack light if you’re hauling suitcases), but the things it does well, it does exceptionally. The staff seems to actually live in Athens rather than just work there, if you know what I mean – they’ll tell you which tavernas the tourists haven’t discovered yet and which metro stops to avoid during rush hour. It’s those kinds of insider details that make a place memorable rather than just comfortable.

Beautiful apartment! Very spacious with nice clean furniture and appliances. The location couldn’t be better for exploring Athens. Everyone we dealt with at the management company was wonderful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. It is located very centrally among the tourist area, with walking distance to attractions, shops and restaurants. Situated on the upper floor with a lift, it offers fantastic view of the Temple of Zeus and the city landscape. The 3 bed property is very spacious for our family of 6, it has very good air condition, perfect for the summer visit, very well equipped with everything needed for the stay. The host is very friendly and helpful, responding all the communication in a very timely fashion.

Great location – very near to Acropolis and great restaurants.
Great views from living room and master bedroom. Small balcony with table and 2 chairs.
Main road in front of apartment and traffic keeps going all night.
Main shops a little further away but still walkable.
Beds are really comfortable and clean.
Shower is very good (but leaks onto floor).
Kitchen is small but adequate with basic equipment.Erica from United States of America (10/10)
The location of this property is great-you are just a couple of minutes from the Plaka and lots of shopping and dining, and maybe 5-7 min from the Acropolis/Acropolis Museum. The view from the room overlooks the Temple of Zeus, which is just across the street.
The apartment itself is so nice and big. What a great value. Our family of five fit perfectly in the 3 full bedrooms. The apartment is nicely decorated and equipped. This is our second time staying at a property owned by Bill and John and we will probably stay there again on any future trips. Their staff was very accommodating, answering any questions we had and getting rides for us when needed.Jason from United States of America (10/10)
Just incredible. 3 legitimate bedrooms, 2 family rooms, a kitchen and balconies. You could legit move in for six months. The staff was incredibly responsive and friendly. Location was absolutely perfect. Don’t know what else you could ask for.
