Mia Homes – Acropolis Overview
You know what really struck me when I first walked into Mia Homes – Acropolis? It actually feels like someone’s well-appointed apartment rather than a typical hotel – and I mean that in the best possible way. The lobby has this warm, residential vibe that immediately made me relax after dealing with Athens‘ chaotic taxi situation. Honestly, after staying at a few sterile chain hotels in the city center, this place was like a breath of fresh air.
The location is pretty fantastic if you’re serious about exploring ancient Athens without being right in the tourist madness. You’re close enough to walk to the Acropolis (obviously, given the name), but you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups that plague some of the hotels closer to Monastiraki. I found myself taking these lovely morning walks through the residential streets – there’s something really authentic about seeing locals heading to work while you’re on your way to see 2,500-year-old ruins. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel that you don’t get when you’re staying right on the main drags. Plus, there are some genuine local tavernas within a few blocks where you’ll actually hear Greek conversations at the next table instead of just other tourists comparing guidebooks.
What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to actually know the city – not just the obvious tourist spots. When I mentioned I was interested in contemporary art, the front desk guy (I think his name was Dimitris?) didn’t just hand me a generic map. He sketched out a route to a couple of galleries in Exarchia and told me which metro exit would save me the most walking. That kind of local knowledge is worth its weight in gold when you’re trying to make the most of a short stay. The rooms themselves are thoughtfully designed without being fussy – good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets in sensible places, and the bathroom actually has decent water pressure, which honestly can’t be taken for granted in some older Athens buildings. I mean, it’s not luxury in a marble-and-gold sense, but everything works properly and feels considered. The bed was genuinely comfortable too, which mattered since I was doing a lot of walking and needed proper sleep to recover.
Apartments in Athens provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Greek markets and cook with fresh Mediterranean ingredients.

What could be improved: Vaisselle insuffisante pas de casserole, même pas une capsule de café, ni une pastille pour le lave vaisselle, ni une bouteille d’eau c’est dommage car sinon l’appartement est parfaitPhilip from Australia – 17 May 2025 (9/10)
Great location. Very close to the Metro and Acropolis Museum. Very clean, quiet and private. A spacious apartment which had recently been totally and tastefully renovated.
What could be improved: A folder of instructions and information would have been helpful and saved us the few frustrations that we encountered settling in.Sofia from United Kingdom – 17 May 2025 (10/10)
Great flat in a great location! The flat was lovely, spacious and clean and newly renovated. The beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect, very close to the Acropolis. There is a nice balcony. Access was easy, the host sent the door code in the morning of our arrival. I would definitely stay here again when next in Athens!

Walking distance from everything, main sights nearby, safe, comfortable, contemporary apartment with a balcony. Window shades, comfy beds. Easy access from Airport by underground. No car rental needed. Good communication by Whatsapp.

Super lokalizacja, bardzo blisko Akropolu, w zasadzie przy wejściu na Akropol. Mieszkanie bardzo przestronne, czyste, w sypialniach bardzo duże łóżka z wygodnymi materacami. Kuchnia wyposażona we wszystkie potrzebne sprzęty, łącznie z kapsułkami kawy do ekspresu. Mimo lokalizacji w ścisłym centrum mieszkanie było ciche, nocą nie docierały hałasy. Nasze serce skradł balkon w koronach platanów. Dziękujemy za świetny pobyt w Atenach.

Loved our stay at Mia Home Acropolis! The location is spot on—super close to the Acropolis and all the main sights, but still on a nice, lively street that isn’t too crowded. The place was spacious and had everything we needed. I especially loved sitting out on the balcony and just relaxing—such a nice spot to unwind. Would definitely stay again!
