The location really is the sweet spot – close enough that you can stumble back after exploring Plaka in the evening, but far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with tour groups gathering outside your window at 7 AM. Speaking of noise, the windows are surprisingly good at blocking out the street sounds, though you’ll still hear the occasional motorcycle (this is Athens, after all). Honestly, the 9.1 rating makes sense when you experience it – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but everything just works the way it should. The Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out, the air conditioning actually cools the room, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. If you’re the type who wants to be in the thick of things but still have a proper place to retreat to at the end of the day, this place delivers on that balance better than most.
