The apartment I stayed in had this great kitchen setup that made me wish I’d planned to cook more (there’s a small market about two blocks away that locals use, which was perfect for grabbing fresh ingredients).

Here’s the thing that really sets it apart though – the attention to details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. Really good water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and – this might sound small but trust me – proper hangers in the closet, not those flimsy wire things. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout, which matters if you’re trying to work from that rooftop space. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly complicated key situation some places put you through. With a 9.5 rating, you’d expect it to be pretty special, and honestly, it delivers on that expectation without feeling pretentious about it. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re someone who needs complete silence to sleep, you might want to pack earplugs – it’s a city after all, and there’s the occasional motorcycle or late-night conversation drifting up from the street. But for most people, that’s just part of the authentic Athens experience, and when you wake up to those morning views over the city, any minor nighttime sounds are completely forgotten.

  Modern en comfortabel appartement op de eerste verdieping, met toegang tot het gezamenlijk dakterras met prachtig uitzicht op de negende verdieping. Voor 3 personen ruim genoeg. Gelegen op een rustige lokatie, tegenover een parkje en op wandelafstand van Plaka en openbaar vervoer. Zeer behulpzame host. We kregen heel wat handige tips. We konden ook later uitchecken dan voorzien, wat echt heel fijn was aangezien onze vlucht pas 's avonds was. We hebben echt genoten van ons verblijf.
