What I really appreciated was how well-equipped everything was – the kitchen actually has decent knives, the shower has proper water pressure, and the air conditioning works without sounding like a helicopter landing. Small things, but they matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night. The two bedrooms are genuinely spacious, not those European “cozy” situations where you’re bumping into walls. Parking can be a bit of an adventure in this area (well, parking in Athens is always an adventure), but there’s usually something within a few blocks if you’re patient. The neighborhood gets quieter after dinner, which means you can actually sleep with the windows open and catch those summer breezes – though you’ll still get the occasional late-night conversation drifting up from the street below, which is just part of the Athens charm.

Check-in was smooth, and they left some basics in the fridge, which saved me a late-night grocery hunt. If I’m being completely honest, the WiFi could be stronger in the back bedroom, and the street-facing windows let in some morning light even with the curtains drawn – but these are pretty minor complaints for a place that gets so much else right.
