Angels Overview
You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of four-star places that make big promises and deliver lukewarm coffee and scratchy towels, but Angels actually gets it right. I mean, with a 9.3 rating, you’d expect something special – and honestly, this place delivers without being pretentious about it. The moment you walk in, there’s this understated elegance that feels genuine rather than staged. The lobby has this warm, almost residential feel with these beautiful leather chairs that actually look like people sit in them regularly, not like museum pieces you’re afraid to touch.
What really struck me during my stay was how the staff seemed to anticipate what you needed without hovering. I remember coming back after a long day of meetings, completely drained, and the front desk person – Sarah, I think her name was – just casually mentioned that the bar served a particular whiskey neat that might hit the spot. She was right. The rooms are thoughtfully designed too, with these little touches that show someone actually thinks about how people live in hotel spaces. The bedside lighting is positioned perfectly for reading (thank god, because so many places get this wrong), and there’s enough counter space in the bathroom that you don’t have to play Tetris with your toiletries. The shower pressure is excellent – one of those rainfall heads that actually works instead of just looking pretty.
I’ll be honest, the location took me a minute to figure out at first since the address wasn’t super clear when I booked, but once I got oriented, I realized it’s positioned really well. You’re close enough to feel connected to everything but far enough away that you’re not dealing with street noise at 2 AM. The neighborhood has this lived-in quality where you’ll find locals grabbing coffee at the corner café rather than just tourists wandering around looking lost. Parking was surprisingly painless – they have their own garage, which saved me from circling blocks like a vulture. The breakfast situation is solid without being overwhelming; they do these incredible pastries that taste homemade, and the coffee is strong enough to actually wake you up. I actually ended up extending my stay by a night because I wasn’t ready to leave, which doesn’t happen often. Angels manages to feel both polished and comfortable, like staying at the home of a friend who has excellent taste but doesn’t make you worry about using a coaster.
To book hotel in Athens during the famous Athens Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts ancient history enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

Sylvie from France – 2 March 2025 (8/10)
L’équipement était très correct et le logement suffisamment spacieux pour 12 personnes.
What could be improved: Il manquait un lave vaisselle.
Le quartier était bruyant.Joy from United States – 30 December 2024 (9/10)
Very clean, has elevator, nice Host
What could be improved: The location is a bit sketchy but the apartment building is secure and always locked which gave us peace of mindDaksha from United Kingdom – 31 July 2024 (10/10)
Location to Station, access to Athens city was convenient.
Plenty of rooms for our group of 11.
Note: 2 shower/bath, the other is WC only.Priya from United States – 12 July 2024 (10/10)
Nikos was great, and the place was easy to get into. Communication was very easy. The place was well stocked and clean, they even had wine and snacks that we could purchase. The elevator was broken during our stay, but Nikos helped us get out bags down. The outside of the building was a bit run down, but the apartment itself was very beautiful and accurate to the pictures! Kids had a blast.
What could be improved: The booking page says 3 bathrooms, but there are actually only 2 full bathrooms and 1 toilet. This was a bit of a bummer because we were three families. We were only there for 2 days, so we managed.Filip from Belgium – 13 November 2023 (8/10)
Perfect size and comfortable. Internet, 2 showers, good beds, ….
What could be improved: Nothing.Iulian from Romania – 24 July 2023 (10/10)

What could be improved: XVan from Germany – 23 August 2022 (9/10)
Host was very nice and friendly, clean, good furniture and facilities.
What could be improved: Electricity was out for almost 24 hours. Other than that, everything was fine and perfect!Loreta from Lithuania – 10 July 2022 (6/10)
The apartment is suitable for a large company, nice, clean.
What could be improved: – We were shocked about the location of the apartment. The apartment is located in the area of drug dealers and users. Sitting in the balcony, you constantly see people selling drugs and taking them on the spot. At night there was a fights and noise. The location is unpleasant and looks unsafe. We didn't see any police.
– You can feel the smell of cigarettes in the apartment.Sunny from United Kingdom – 27 June 2022 (10/10)
