You’re not stuck in some tourist bubble, but you’re also not dealing with the chaos that can make parts of the city center feel overwhelming, especially during summer months. The rooms have these floor-to-ceiling windows that actually open (thank god, because sometimes you just want real air), and the soundproofing is surprisingly good for a city hotel. I slept through what my Greek friend later told me was a pretty lively street festival happening a few blocks away.
