Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places over the years, but Astric Seaview Penthouse honestly caught me off guard in the best possible way. When I first walked into the lobby, I was expecting something decent – I mean, it’s a 4-star property, so you know what you’re getting, right? But then the elevator doors opened on the penthouse level and… wow. The floor-to-ceiling windows just slam you with this incredible ocean view that stretches on forever. You know that moment when you walk into a space and actually say “oh my god” out loud? Yeah, that happened.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed the details without being pretentious about it. The penthouse suites are spacious – like, actually spacious, not just “spacious for a hotel room” – and the balconies are where you’ll spend most of your time if you’re anything like me. I found myself waking up early just to watch the sunrise with my coffee out there, which is saying something because I’m not a morning person at all. The beds are ridiculously comfortable too (I’m pretty sure I slept 10 hours straight my first night), and honestly, the bathroom feels more luxurious than the one in my apartment back home. The rain shower situation they’ve got going on? Chef’s kiss. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing – check-in was smooth, they remembered my name without looking at their notes, and when I mentioned I was celebrating an anniversary, they surprised us with champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries. Not over-the-top, just thoughtful.

Here’s the thing though – and this is why that 9.8 rating makes total sense – it’s not just about the fancy penthouse amenities. The location puts you right where you want to be without the chaos of being directly on the main strip. You can walk to the good restaurants and bars when you want the action, but when you come back to your room, it actually feels like a retreat. I did notice some construction noise in the mornings around 8 AM from a nearby development, but it stops by evening and honestly didn’t bother me much since I was usually out exploring by then anyway. The only real downside? Once you stay here, everywhere else feels like a downgrade. I’m already looking at dates for next year because, well, some places just get under your skin in the best way possible.

  I liked everything. It's a great location, run by a responsive and helpful host, and last but not least, the property itself is just amazing.

  This penthouse in Athens was just unreal! It was huge and had tons of space. The view was amazing – you could see both the mountains and the sea. The place had everything we needed, and the owner was so nice. He even left us candy, wine, champagne, and other yummy stuff. Plus, there was always cold water in the fridge. Everything was just great! The bed was super comfy, like a dream. And the owner was really friendly and always happy to help us out with anything or give us tips. We loved it!

  Very clean modern apartment with everything you need for a stay away from home. Mike went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we required. The apartment was like home away from home with fully fitted kitchen, washing machine, a safe, coffee & tea facilities, bottled water, toiletries, basically anything you would need. Large terrace, lift access nice neighbourhood. Fabulous cafe/cocktail bar across the main road on the beach which did a good selection of food and drinks.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing! Maybe the sea view was restricted but everything else was spot on so this wasn’t an issue.

  Best everything in town, won’t be disappointed when staying here, terrace alone so big you can play football on it, and the penthouse is fully packed with whatever you might need. Host super responsive and great!

  The apartment was amazing. Recently renovated with a very nice and cozy design. The host was super friendly and helpful and he made sure that the apartment was cleaned before the next guests.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing that wasn't great is the beach that's a couple minutes away on foot. This is obviously not the fault of the host but it is something to keep in mind. However there are plenty of beaches close by if you have a car that are much nicer.

  Perfect place very close to the beach and nice beach clubs (just across the road)
  Giant terrace with sea view. Very modern and stylish apartment.
  The mattress and the pillows were extremely comfortable and we had a great sleep.
  The owner was super helpful, responded immediately and did his best to help us with all our needs. Big thanks for the extra effort!!!
