Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places over the years, but Astric Seaview Penthouse honestly caught me off guard in the best possible way. When I first walked into the lobby, I was expecting something decent – I mean, it’s a 4-star property, so you know what you’re getting, right? But then the elevator doors opened on the penthouse level and… wow. The floor-to-ceiling windows just slam you with this incredible ocean view that stretches on forever. You know that moment when you walk into a space and actually say “oh my god” out loud? Yeah, that happened.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed the details without being pretentious about it. The penthouse suites are spacious – like, actually spacious, not just “spacious for a hotel room” – and the balconies are where you’ll spend most of your time if you’re anything like me. I found myself waking up early just to watch the sunrise with my coffee out there, which is saying something because I’m not a morning person at all. The beds are ridiculously comfortable too (I’m pretty sure I slept 10 hours straight my first night), and honestly, the bathroom feels more luxurious than the one in my apartment back home. The rain shower situation they’ve got going on? Chef’s kiss. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing – check-in was smooth, they remembered my name without looking at their notes, and when I mentioned I was celebrating an anniversary, they surprised us with champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries. Not over-the-top, just thoughtful.

Here’s the thing though – and this is why that 9.8 rating makes total sense – it’s not just about the fancy penthouse amenities. The location puts you right where you want to be without the chaos of being directly on the main strip. You can walk to the good restaurants and bars when you want the action, but when you come back to your room, it actually feels like a retreat. I did notice some construction noise in the mornings around 8 AM from a nearby development, but it stops by evening and honestly didn’t bother me much since I was usually out exploring by then anyway. The only real downside? Once you stay here, everywhere else feels like a downgrade. I’m already looking at dates for next year because, well, some places just get under your skin in the best way possible.
