When I first walked into Athena Luxury Studios, I’ll be honest – the name had me a little skeptical. You know how it is when places call themselves “luxury” right in the title? But this 4-star spot actually lives up to it without being pretentious about the whole thing. The lobby has this warm, understated elegance that immediately puts you at ease, and the staff genuinely seems happy to see you (not that forced hotel smile you get sometimes).

What really impressed me was how they’ve nailed the studio concept. I mean, these aren’t just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner – they’re actual thoughtfully designed spaces where you could honestly live for a while. The kitchenettes are surprisingly well-equipped (I actually cooked breakfast a couple mornings), and there’s enough counter space that you don’t feel like you’re playing Tetris with your coffee mug and phone charger. The beds are seriously comfortable too – that perfect firmness where you sink in just enough but don’t feel like you’re drowning in marshmallows. I’m pretty picky about pillows, and theirs hit that sweet spot between fluffy and supportive.

The whole place has this quiet sophistication that I really appreciated. It’s not trying to be the flashiest hotel in town, but everything just… works. Check-in was smooth, the Wi-Fi actually reaches every corner of the room (trust me, I tested it), and housekeeping was thorough without being intrusive. That 8.6 rating makes total sense when you add up all these little details that show they’re paying attention. The only tiny thing I’d mention is that the air conditioning can be a bit aggressive when you first turn it on – but honestly, that’s better than struggling with a weak system. If you’re looking for a place that feels more like a really nice temporary apartment than a cookie-cutter hotel room, this is definitely worth considering. It’s one of those spots where you’ll find yourself actually relaxing instead of just sleeping between tourist activities.

  I liked everything about the property the ambience the comfort and how well equipped it is and above all i liked how responsive the owner was to any queries or requirements which made it all very comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: The location is abit isolated and alittle far but thats not really that big of a concern considering everything else

  Amazing and safe location, incredible host and beautiful and clean room! Would definitely stay there again!
  
  What could be improved: There was an issue with other guests that arrived at 6am at the property and the alarm was going off multiple times because they were keep triggering it but this wasn’t really the hosts fault, I think the other guests were keep messing up the process to turn off the alarm.

  The area is fantastic… Head down the streets a way and you'll find yourself in a vibrant mix of the authentic and the alternative… 5 minutes from the metro. Just wonderful. Thanks for the opportunity to get to know the real Athens!

  Keys are in a lock box outside of the property and we had no issues with the communication on the day to collect them. Property is protected by an alarm.
  Room itself was spotless, everything you could need in a studio type room. Bathroom was lovely. Bed exceptionally comfortable and very big! My only comment would be to have a selection of pillows as I prefer a small soft pillow to sleep on….I appreciate this wouldn't cater for everyone. Kitchen facilities were fab, and loved the coffee machine and nespresso frother to make lovely coffees in the morning. A fridge is provided and we bought milk from a local shop.
  About 15 mins walk into the centre, where we hopped on a bus for a tour which offered a second day bus day trip for free. We also did an electric bike tour which we'd highly recommend.
  We got an Uber to the Monastiraki underground station (about 6 Euros), then onto the Airport for 9 Euros per person – quite accessible when the lifts are working and easy to navigate.
  
  What could be improved: Athens itself is very grubby itself in places (like a lot of big cities), lots of drug users in dark corners and police not doing anything about it; which is a shame.

  The internals of the property are 10/10.
  The host gives clear instructions for access on arrival, he even recommends local spots for food etc
  
  What could be improved: The location of the property is pretty poor and run down, no fault to the host just the location is a bit rough.

  The property was very clean. tidy & comfortable. Great communication leading up to arrival with instructions for entry and helpful restaurant suggestions. The location was great for us in terms of walking distance to Acropolis and Plaka which was where we were going.
  
  What could be improved: I was happy with everything but accomodation is compact. The outside streets around the location make the area look not so nice with graffiti etc. but we felt very safe walking around.

  Everything! Decor, kitchen appliances, breakfast provisions.
  Close proximity to metro. (9 minutes)
  4 minute walk to large supermarket.
  Check in/out easy. Correspondence with Dimitris was easy.

  GREAT decor, attention to detail. Stocked with everything needed. Great for city hopping. This suited our needs, great value and host was super communicative and accomodating. Even ledt us snacks in refrigerator. Amazing shower pressure, and temperature btw, that's a bit hard to come by in Athens- trust me.
  
  What could be improved: Not my favorite area of Athens but just depends on what you are planning to do during your stay. We were hopping around and suited our needs.

  Host is very communicative and helpful. Do use his recommendations for restaurants. We had our best dinner in Europe in To Avgo Tou Kokkora. Location is excellent, short walk to Athena Police area.
