Athens Connection Apartments Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Athens Connection Apartments? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to oversell itself, but then quietly delivers on everything that actually matters when you’re traveling. I mean, sure, it’s a 4-star property with solid 8.2 ratings, but those numbers don’t tell you about the little things that made my stay work so well.

The apartments themselves feel genuinely livable – not just hotel rooms with a kitchenette thrown in as an afterthought. I’m talking proper counter space where you can actually spread out your groceries from the local markets, and honestly, after a few days of exploring Athens on foot, having that space to decompress was everything. The Wi-Fi is reliable (I had video calls for work without issues), and the AC doesn’t sound like a freight train, which… well, if you’ve stayed in some Athens accommodations during summer, you’ll appreciate that detail. What I loved most was how the staff seemed to know the city inside and out – they didn’t just hand me a tourist map and call it a day. When I mentioned wanting to find good souvlaki that wasn’t a tourist trap, they gave me specific directions to a place locals actually eat, complete with what to order.

The location works really well if you want to feel connected to actual Athens life rather than just the postcard version. You’re close enough to hit the major sites without feeling like you’re camping out in the thick of tourist chaos, and there’s something nice about walking back to your apartment in the evening through neighborhoods where people are just living their regular lives. I noticed the area gets pretty quiet after dinner time, which meant I could actually sleep with the windows open on cooler nights. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’ve got a rental car – it’s Athens, so that’s just reality – but the front desk folks know the neighborhood parking situation and can point you toward spots that won’t leave you circling blocks. Honestly, the whole experience felt less like staying at a hotel and more like borrowing a friend’s place while they’re out of town, if that makes sense. The kind of spot where you can grab coffee and pastries in the morning, plan your day without rushing, and come back in the afternoon to regroup before dinner. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it gets the fundamentals right in a way that makes exploring Athens feel natural rather than exhausting.

The location was amazing, about 20-30 minute walk from major landmarks and even shorter walk into busy areas full of restaurants and shops. The property was immaculately clean and had everything we needed

We have booked for two adults and my two kids (ages 1 and 4) were welcomed for free. The room was small but just enough for us.

Location was good and 5 mins walk from a main metro station. Air conditioning was a treat.

  • Marta from Spain (8/10)

In general everything ok. The apartment met the expectations, big balcony and close from the metro station. Nice restaurants in the surroundings

  • Erin from Ireland (8/10)

I recently stayed here with my partner and daughter, and it was a fantastic experience, especially for the price. The apartment was in a very central location, making it easy to walk to popular attractions, with plenty of lively bars and restaurants nearby. There's also an elevator, which was convenient, though it only fits two people at a time.
Checking in was a breeze with a key box and code provided, allowing us to arrive at any time. The owner was very responsive and helpful, which made our stay even more comfortable. I'd definitely recommend staying here!
A quick tip for those driving: navigating Athens can be challenging, as drivers are often aggressive and many cars show signs of wear. While free street parking is available, we chose to park at Polis Parking, which is within walking distance and costs around €15 for overnight parking highly recommended for peace of mind!
