Little things like that matter when you’re trying to settle into a new city. The location works really well if you want to feel connected to Athens without being right in the tourist chaos – you can walk to the main sites, but you’re also in a neighborhood where actual Athenians live and work. I found myself grabbing morning coffee at this little place around the corner where the owner started recognizing me by day three.
