Athens Hills Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Athens Hills on Ermou Street, you immediately get that “I’m in the right place” feeling. This four-star hotel sits right where all the action happens in Athens — honestly, I’ve stayed in places that claimed to be central but were actually a 20-minute trek from anything interesting. Not here. You’re literally steps away from the main shopping district, and I mean you can hear the buzz of the pedestrian street from your window.
Location Magic
Here’s what I love about the location — you can walk to pretty much everything that matters. The Acropolis? Easy stroll. Plaka’s winding streets with all those tavernas? Five minutes, maybe less. But you know what really sold me? The fact that couples consistently rate this spot a perfect 10.
That tells you something, because couples tend to be picky about romantic settings and walkability. The hotel earned a 9.7 location score, and after spending time here, I get why — it’s that sweet spot where you’re in the thick of things but not drowning in tourist chaos.
The Room Experience
The room itself strikes that perfect balance between modern comfort and Greek character. Nothing too fancy or over-the-top, but everything works exactly as it should. The windows actually open (you’d be surprised how rare that is), so you can let in those warm Athens evenings along with the gentle street sounds.
I actually enjoyed falling asleep to the distant chatter from the pedestrian zone below — it felt authentically urban without being disruptive. The beds are properly comfortable, and the bathrooms are well-designed without trying to be spa-like.
Daily Rhythms
Mornings here have this nice rhythm to them. You wake up, step outside, and you’re immediately part of Athens’ daily flow. The hotel staff — and this matters more than people think — actually know the neighborhood. They’ll point you toward the good coffee spots (not just the obvious ones) and tell you which tavernas locals actually frequent.
I spent one evening just people-watching from a nearby café, and it struck me how perfectly positioned this place is for that quintessential Athens experience of just being part of the city’s natural rhythm.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.2 rating isn’t just numbers — it reflects something real about how this hotel fits into an Athens trip. You’re not staying in some isolated bubble; you’re staying in a place that connects you to what makes this city special. The combination of being on Ermou Street (which locals know is the real heart of things) with genuine comfort creates something that feels both authentic and relaxing. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because leaving means giving up that perfect base for exploring everything Athens has to offer.

Property was impeccably clean when we arrived with lovely view of the Acropolis. We loved coming home at night and leaving the blinds open to admire while in bed. The location is perfect for walking everywhere! Close to a lot of restaurants, bars, cafes and of course the key sites to visit. We felt safe in the area. The host is also very helpful and kind.

What a gem of a find this was, great position, right in the heart of Monastiraki, with shops a plenty, a short walk down the road to the square, the markets & plenty of restaurants. Walking distance to Plaka where there is more shopping & restaurants and to top it off the views to the Acropolis was simply amazing. This apartment is extremely well appointed and has most things that you'd require, even to the point that previous visitors leave behind toiletries, fresh fruit, etc, that they cannot take with them, for those coming in afterwards. We would definitely stay here again if in Athens.

Great location, super communication with the owner, a clean and chic apartment, easy to checkin, the view over the Acropolis and proximity to main attractions in Athens.A lot of toiletries left in the bathroom including SPF Cream.Visit the cafeteria across the street and the shop under the building.
