I’ll be honest – when I first stumbled upon Boho Studio / Hilton Area-Μέγαρο Μουσικής / Athens, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the name alone. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that surprise you, and this little 4-star gem absolutely delivered on that front.

The Hilton area itself has this interesting mix – it’s got that slightly upscale vibe but still maintains the gritty charm that makes Athens so addictive. I mean, you can grab excellent souvlaki from a hole-in-the-wall place just around the corner, then catch a world-class performance at the concert hall the same evening. The metro connections are solid too, so getting to the Acropolis or Plaka doesn’t require any heroic planning.

What really struck me about this place was how they’ve nailed that boho aesthetic without making it feel like they’re trying too hard – you know how some places overdo the “quirky” thing and it just feels forced? Not here. The studio setup actually works beautifully, giving you enough space to spread out without feeling like you’re rattling around in some massive hotel room. The furnishings have this relaxed, artistic vibe that somehow manages to be both stylish and comfortable (I’m talking about furniture you can actually sink into after a long day of wandering around ancient ruins). Honestly, the 8.6 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve been there – it’s the kind of score that reflects genuine guest satisfaction rather than flashy amenities that look good in photos but don’t translate to real comfort.

The neighborhood itself comes alive in the evenings, but not in that overwhelming, touristy way that can make you feel like you need to escape back to your room. Instead, there’s this gentle buzz of locals heading home from work, students from the nearby areas grabbing coffee, and culture lovers filtering in and out of the various venues. You’ll hear Greek conversations mixing with different languages, but it never feels chaotic. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during concert nights (fair warning), but most of the time it’s manageable. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – no unnecessary upselling or complicated explanations, just helpful staff who seem to actually know the area well enough to give you real recommendations rather than the standard tourist script. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to feel like you’re staying somewhere with character while still having modern comforts, this place hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  Nice and clean apartment near MEGARO MOUSIKIS metro station (200m) . The apartment is as described, very clean with en extra kitchen.

  Superb location – very safe (a woman can safely walk late at night), train station and bus stop (can take 24h airport bus X95) within 3 min walk, only several stops by train to main tourist attractions. Also cheap and good restaurants nearby! The room itself is clean and comfortable, with adequate facilities. I loved the double bed, which is soooo comfy. Smooth check-in, responsive and lovely host 🙂 Definitely good value for money.
  
  What could be improved: Shower space is a bit small, but you will learn how to use it!
  If you are a sensitive person, bring a earplug – despite it being a quiet area outside, you would sometimes experience noise inside the apartment block at night (neighbors closing doors, someone upstairs pacing etc.).

  The apartment is very clean, ideal for 1 to 2 people. Close to the megaro mousikis metro station. The host is polite and very helpful.

  Very good location, 3min walk from one of the main metro stations (blue line) and also from the bus station with a night bus to the airport (X95). The apartment is clean with a comfortable bed. The hosts are friendly and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: Although the apartment is equipped with a kitchen, the whole place is veeeery small, so it's hard to cook anything (we didn't need to so it didn't bother us) and the bathroom is also tiny and gets wet easily. Also no place for chairs and/or tables.

  Good location near at metro station and only two stations from the central of Athens Syntagma Sq.
  The facilities were good and the price for all that was 10/10! For sure in my next trip at Athens i will use it again!!

  The location is great, the bed was comfortable and the flat was clean.
  
  What could be improved: The only left us one set of towels and the shower in the bathroom is quite small and the water is making a mess on the toilet.
