You’re literally surrounded by centuries-old architecture, and I mean the kind where you can almost feel the history in the cobblestones under your feet.

What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night, despite being so central. During the day, sure, there’s that pleasant buzz of local life – people heading to work, shopkeepers opening up, maybe some street musicians setting up (actually kind of charming). But once evening rolls around, it settles into this peaceful atmosphere that I wasn’t expecting. The apartment itself has this authentic feel that a lot of places try to fake with generic “rustic” furniture, but here it feels genuine. The windows – and this might sound silly – but they frame the old buildings across the street like living postcards. I found myself just sitting there with my morning coffee, watching the neighborhood wake up.

The practical stuff matters too, and I have to say, check-in was surprisingly smooth. No hunting around for key boxes or waiting forever for someone to show up. The space is well-maintained without feeling sterile, if that makes sense. You’ve got everything you actually need (good water pressure, reliable WiFi, a kitchen that’s more than just decorative), plus those little touches that show someone actually thought about what travelers want. I mean, there were proper hangers in the closet – you’d be amazed how many places skip that basic detail. Walking to restaurants, shops, or any of the main historic sites takes maybe five minutes tops, and you’re not fighting tourist crowds to get home because you’re staying where locals actually live and work. Honestly, for a 4-star place with an 8.5 rating, it felt like I was getting more than I paid for – which, let’s be real, doesn’t happen that often anymore.

  Perfect location within walking distance of the Akropolis and just a few steps from shops and restaurants. Yet the appartement itself is in a quiet alley. The appartement is basic (a bit dated) but comfortable.

  Fantastic location, ample place, great kitchen (thanks for having coffee, sugar and a wonderful bottle of wine!), bathroom with ample toiletries. Owner can be contacted very easily and answers quickly. Was great to see extra adaptors including USB.

  Location was perfect! Was near a lot of tourist attractions, food, and of course ice cream (i had 2 small kids with me)
  
  Apartment had air conditioning which was perfect as Athens was SO HOT when we arrived. Little kitchen had everything we needed to have some breakfast, keep drinks chilled and our leftovers for the next day.
  
  Also loved that they had little soap bars and shampoo like in a hotel!

  Excellent location! The apartment is big and cool even in August. No stairs, it’s on ground level. Enough closets and place to all your stuff. Capsule coffee machine and great shower closet – the last one seems to be rare in Greece. Big fridge and even a freezer!
