The apartment itself feels surprisingly spacious for Athens standards – you know how cramped some city places can get – but this one actually has room to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase the entire time.

Now, I should mention it’s got a 7.0 rating, which honestly feels about right. It’s not going to blow you away with luxury touches, but everything works well and the space is thoughtfully set up. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to hit the central market and cook something up (which I’d totally recommend – the tomatoes there are insane). The Wi-Fi was solid, which mattered since I was trying to work a bit, and the air conditioning kept things comfortable even during those brutal August afternoons when the heat bounces off all that marble and concrete. One thing that surprised me was how quiet it gets at night despite being so central – I guess the way these old buildings are positioned creates these little sound pockets. Well, except for Friday nights when people are heading to the bars in Psyrri, but honestly, that just felt like part of the Athens experience. The check-in was smooth too – the host met me right at the building and gave me some solid recommendations for places that weren’t total tourist traps. If you’re looking for that authentic Athens vibe without sacrificing comfort, and you want to be able to walk everywhere instead of dealing with taxis or metro transfers with your luggage, this place really delivers on its promise.
