You know what really surprised me about Comfort & Relax apartment in Athens Riviera? It’s one of those places where the name actually delivers on its promise – which, honestly, doesn’t happen as often as you’d think. I mean, we’ve all stayed at places called “Paradise Resort” that turned out to be anything but, right?

The location along the Athens Riviera is genuinely brilliant, and I’m not just saying that because it sounds fancy. You’re far enough from the tourist chaos of central Athens to actually hear yourself think, but close enough that you can still do a proper day trip to the Acropolis without feeling like you need a sherpa guide. The whole Riviera area has this laid-back vibe that locals have managed to keep relatively under wraps – you’ll find yourself wandering down to little seaside tavernas where the owners actually remember your coffee order by day three. What I loved most was how the apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room. The furniture isn’t trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect, which somehow makes it more comfortable. There’s proper counter space in the kitchen (thank god, because airplane peanuts only sustain you for so long), and the bed is one of those setups where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re trapped in quicksand. The whole place stays surprisingly cool even during those sweltering August afternoons – I suspect good insulation, though I’m no building expert.

The 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s those little things that add up: the shower pressure is actually decent, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every time someone in the building uses their microwave, and there’s enough hot water for two people to shower without someone getting the arctic blast treatment. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which anyone who’s driven in Athens will tell you is basically a minor miracle. The only tiny critique I’d have is that the walls are a bit thin – not terrible, but you might hear your neighbors if they’re having a particularly animated phone conversation. But honestly, that’s pretty standard for most European apartments, and the trade-off for the location and price point is absolutely worth it. If you’re the type who prefers having your own space to spread out rather than dealing with hotel lobby small talk and breakfast buffet politics, this place hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  Nice apartment in a quiet location, walking distance to the sea. The noisy six-lane quayside can hardly be heard here. The city center, Piraeus and the beaches can be easily reached in 40 minutes by tram. The apartment is well furnished, nothing is missing. Alex is very accommodating and even allowed us to stay longer on the day of departure because our return flight only went in the afternoon.

  The apartment was in a nice area, close to the beach and many tram/bus stops, so it was easy to get around. The place was extremely well equipped. Everything was provided, even dishwasher tablets / water and juice/ soap / body wash / welcome chocolates and wine. The instructions to get there and get the key were clear. No issues whatsoever.

  Everything was clean and perfect at home..
  2 separate rooms and 1 small salloon..1 bathroom, 1 small toilet and with an american kitchen..We only bought bread, cheese and some stuff for the breakfast..They think everything including iron, drying rack, washing machine and even washing machine tablets..
  They also have an espresso machine..

  We only have difficulties to find a suitable car parking area near to the apartment.. And it takes around 15-20 mins drive to the city center.. Apart from this it was definitely perfect place to stay..
  
  What could be improved: No parking area near apartment.. And it is always full.. It takes 15 mins drive to the city center. (But near to the coast and Mousson tramway station)

  We are very grateful for such a great organisation of our holiday and for the super flat. Everything is so well thought out even in small details that we were pleasantly surprised. The flat is clean, cosy and stylish. Nearby there is everything you need and even more. The sea is in 5 minutes walk. Pharmacies, shops, taverns, cafes, even a tram stop whose terminus is the city centre. Alex is a super host who will always help with any question at any time and very promptly. He cared about our comfort even more than we did ourselves. Our family unequivocally recommends this flat! You will not regret it!

  We had a wonderful stay and the host Alex was amazing. We were travelling with our small baby for the first time and therefore I got in touch with Alex prior to our trip. He was incredibly helpful and organised transport from the airport with car seat for the baby. He had set up things in the apartment especially for the baby, such as an activity gym, baby monitor and a bath tub for the baby. This made our stay very comfortable in the apartment. Throughout our holiday I was in touch with Alex- he checked in on us making sure everything was ok, I asked questions about commuting with the tram etc. he was always quick with responding and very helpful which I really appreciated.
  There was a big supermarket just around the corner from the apartment, the beach was a few minutes walk away and so was the tram stop which made the location of the apartment perfect for us.
  
  What could be improved: We our truly beyond satisfied with our holiday and the stay in the apartment. If there’s one thing I would have wished was better it would have been the size of the elevator in the building. The elevator was very small and our baby stroller couldn’t fit in it.

  The appartment had everything that we could possibly need during our stay – we wanted to visit Athens but also going to the beach and the location was perfect to do both. The appartment was very clean and it is quite comfortable. Alex checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything.
