The GHH management was pretty responsive when I had questions, and check-in was straightforward without any of those awkward “meet me at this random corner with exact change” situations you sometimes get with apartment rentals. Look, this isn’t going to be the place where you spend hours lounging around Instagram-worthy interiors, but if you want a genuine base camp for exploring Athens without paying hotel prices – especially somewhere you can actually picture yourself living for a week rather than just surviving – this hits the mark. Plus, you’re staying in one of those neighborhoods where you’ll end up with a favorite bakery and a regular table at some tiny taverna by day three, which honestly is worth more than any fancy amenities.

  The location is absolutely superb – really central to Syntagma Square and a short walk to Plaka and the Agora. The rooms are a good size and the beds comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. Jenny was in contact regularly and extremely helpful even organising our airport transfer. Overall an excellent stay.

  Good location, with many shops and restaurants near by including some which need booking in advance due to exceptional reviews. Good size bedrooms, comfortable beds and good air conditioning. Two small bathrooms, one was en suite. Decent kitchen, although due to location near so many restaurants, we hardly used kitchen. Host was very accommodating and helpful. Several left luggage places within 5 mins walk which is helpful if you check out and have time to wander round Athens
