Dante Apartment Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Dante Apartment, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The word “apartment” had me thinking it might be one of those cramped, converted spaces that look great in photos but feel claustrophobic in person. Boy, was I wrong about that assumption.
What strikes you immediately is how this place manages to feel both spacious and intimate at the same time. The owners have clearly put thought into every corner – I mean, you can tell someone actually lives this way rather than just throwing together a rental property. The kitchen (and trust me, I’m picky about kitchens) actually has proper counter space and decent cookware, not those flimsy pans you usually find in vacation rentals. There’s something refreshing about opening a drawer and finding it organized with real utensils instead of a jumbled mess of mismatched stuff.
The sleeping situation is honestly impressive – the bed is one of those that makes you want to hit snooze three times, which I definitely did more than once. Natural light floods in during the morning hours, but here’s the thing that impressed me most: the blackout situation is solid when you need it. You know how some places claim to have good curtains but then streetlights keep you up all night? Not an issue here. The bathroom deserves a mention too – proper water pressure (seriously underrated when you’re traveling) and they’ve stocked it with toiletries that don’t smell like generic hotel soap.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the attention to detail that you don’t notice until you’ve been there a day or two. The WiFi actually works consistently – I was taking video calls without any of those awkward “can you hear me now?” moments. They’ve got reading nooks with proper lighting, and honestly, the whole space just feels lived-in rather than staged. I found myself hanging out longer than planned just because it was comfortable in that way that makes you forget you’re not at home.
The location works well for getting around, though I’d recommend having a plan for your transportation since you’re not right in the thick of everything. That said, sometimes it’s nice to have a quiet retreat when you want to decompress. Check-in was straightforward – none of that awkward key exchange dance you sometimes get with apartment rentals. The host clearly knows what they’re doing and has the process down to a science.
Here’s my take: if you’re looking for something that feels more like borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment than staying in a typical hotel, Dante Apartment nails it. It’s got that 4-star polish without feeling stuffy or impersonal. The 9.9 rating isn’t just inflated reviews either – you can tell other guests have had genuinely good experiences here. It’s the kind of place where you actually use the living room instead of just sprawling on the bed with your laptop, which says something about how comfortable and functional the space really is.
Best hotels in Athens range from charming boutique properties in the historic Plaka district to elegant rooftop hotels with stunning views of the Acropolis and Parthenon.

Everything about this apartment was excellent! It was large, modern, well furnished, clean, comfortable, with everything you need. Two balconies- both with sliding fly screens and shutters – one, with table and chairs, overlooking the street but giving a great view of the surrounding area and a great atmosphere from the lively restaurant opposite and the other overlooking neighbouring apartments but perfect for hanging out washing etc. The apartment was in a perfect place for an easy walk up to the hop on bus stops by Hadrians arch and the tram. The hosts were fantastic with great communication throughout our stay and gave plenty of info about the area. We found really good restaurants close by too. Fabulous!

Location was really good. Just a little bit out from tourist hotspots but lots of great restaurants and bars nearby full of locals. Apartment was very clean, comfortable and well equipped.
Having Netflix was a great bonus for if you just want to stay in while it's hot outside and relax. Would definitely come back.Stuart from United Kingdom (9/10)

Really friendly host with easy communication on WhatsApp; apartment is very nice with a small but comfy (table and chairs) balcony. The flat has all facilities one could need including a washing machine, was clean and very comfy. The surrounding area is nice, supermarket nearby, and walking distance to many of the museums and monuments. Access was by keybox with code from host and worked perfectly.
