You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first booked Ermou 44 – Family Apartment, but this place actually surprised me in the best way. The name pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the location – you’re right on Ermou Street, which honestly is both a blessing and something to keep in mind depending on what you’re after.

The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there, not like those sterile hotel rooms where everything’s bolted down. I mean, the kitchen has real coffee cups (not those tiny hotel ones), and there’s enough space that my kids could spread out their stuff without driving me completely insane. The living area is surprisingly roomy – we could all hang out together without being on top of each other, which if you’ve ever traveled with family, you know is basically priceless. The bedrooms are well thought out too, with actual closet space and decent lighting for reading at night. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets once you close the windows, because Ermou can get pretty lively, especially on weekends.

Speaking of the street – look, you’re going to be right in the thick of things here. During the day, there’s this constant buzz of people shopping and cafes filling up, and honestly, it’s kind of energizing. You can grab everything you need within a two-minute walk, from groceries to that late-night gyros craving (and trust me, there will be one). The downside? Well, it’s not exactly a peaceful retreat if that’s what you’re after. Friday and Saturday nights can get a bit rowdy, though the windows do a decent job of keeping most of the noise out. Parking is… well, it’s what you’d expect in this part of town. I’d honestly recommend just using public transport – you’re so centrally located that you can walk to most places anyway. The check-in was smooth enough, though you’ll want to coordinate your arrival time since there’s not always someone at the front desk. Overall, for a 4-star place with solid ratings, it delivers exactly what it promises – a proper apartment experience right where all the action is, without the fancy hotel markup.

  What could be improved: Electrical outlets on one bedroom were grossly exposed presenting fire hazard as well as personal safety hazard. Missing extra set of towels for long stay, no additional garbage bags or paper towels supply.

  The property is in a great location in the main shopping district. It is also close to public transport and easy walking distance to The Acropolis.
  
  What could be improved: The property could do with some more pillows and cooking utensils such as a sharp knife and cooking tray for the oven. There was also no plug for the kitchen sink and the shower head is of need of replacement.

  superb location, big apartment in a nice old building. handy informations on attractions, food and shopping. host (he has a sense of humour) and his staff very helpful and quick to response to any questions/problems. definitely a place to relax and enjoy
