Ermou Monastiraki View Lycabettus Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Ermou Monastiraki View Lycabettus on one of Athens’ busiest shopping streets, you might wonder if you’ve made the right choice. But honestly, once you step inside this four-star property, the street noise fades and you realize you’ve landed in something special. The lobby feels modern without being sterile — there’s this understated elegance that immediately tells you the owners actually care about details.
The Location Sweet Spot
Here’s what I love about this spot: you’re literally on Ermou Street, which means you can stumble out for coffee, shopping, or dinner without any planning whatsoever. Monastiraki Square is maybe a three-minute walk — I mean, you can practically see the ancient Agora from some windows. The metro station is right there too, so getting to the Acropolis or Syntagma is ridiculously easy. You know what though? The real magic happens when you realize you can walk to Plaka for dinner and still be back in your room before the tourist crowds figure out where they’re going.
The Room Experience
The rooms here actually deliver on that “Lycabettus View” promise — well, at least the ones facing the right direction do. I’d definitely ask for a higher floor when booking because the street-facing rooms can get a bit noisy during the day. The space feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together, with decent storage and a bathroom that doesn’t make you feel like you’re in a closet. The air conditioning works properly too, which honestly isn’t always a given in Athens during summer.
What Sets It Apart
There’s something refreshing about a hotel that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone. This place focuses on being a really solid base for exploring Athens, and it does that exceptionally well. The staff seems to genuinely know the neighborhood — they’ll point you toward the good souvlaki place that locals actually use, not just the tourist traps. The building itself has character without feeling old or run-down, and you get the sense that recent renovations were done with actual taste rather than just budget considerations.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.4 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be a resort or a business hotel — it’s just a really well-executed city hotel in an absolutely prime location. Couples seem to particularly appreciate the balance of being in the thick of things while still having a peaceful retreat to return to. The value proposition is solid too; you’re paying for location and quality, not unnecessary frills. When you can walk to the Acropolis, browse the flea market, grab dinner in Psyrri, and still be home in minutes, you start to understand why people rate this place so highly.
Exploring Athens offers visitors an unforgettable journey through the birthplace of democracy, from its iconic Parthenon to its vibrant neighborhoods and world-renowned archaeological treasures.

Excellent location.
Close to attractions & food.
Comfortable, operational apartment.
Great communication with host.Yeva from Armenia (10/10)
We had an amazing stay! Our host went above and beyond, staying in constant contact and answering any questions within minutes. They even offered an airport transfer option to us and provided a ton of useful information on Athens, including things to do and places to visit. When we extended our stay, they kindly offered us a discount.
The apartment itself was fantastic—fully equipped with amenities like a Nespresso machine, sandwich maker, and microwave. It was stocked with some first necessity foods and then some like sugar, coffe , coco, tea, juice, waffles, honey, preserevs etc. which was a lovely touch. The building had an elevator and was in a prime location, close to everything. For light sleepers, it’s worth mentioning that nearby rooftop bars can be noisy until about 3 am. However, this didn't bother us or our toddler at all. A general Athens comment: If you want peace and quiet you should not opt for a stay in the center. For us it was marvelouse.
The host also provided games for kids and a cot for our baby, which made our stay extra comfortable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely stay here again!Irina from Bulgaria (10/10)
Everything was great. The host is super friendly and tries to make the stay às pleaseant as possible. Located at the heart of the city, very close to everything. Acropolis is just at 15-minute walking distance.

This is one of those apartments where the actual view of the Parthenon is better than the pictures.
