When I first stumbled across G&W Luxury Rooms, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect – the name suggests something grand, but honestly, it’s more like discovering a really well-kept secret that someone’s put genuine thought into. You know those places where you can tell the owners actually care about the details? This is one of them.

The thing that struck me right away was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between upscale and approachable. I mean, sure, it’s got that 4-star polish you’d expect – the kind of place where the linens feel expensive and the bathroom fixtures actually work properly (you’d be surprised how rare that is). But there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup. The staff doesn’t hover or put on that overly formal hotel voice, and check-in was surprisingly smooth – no endless forms or awkward upselling attempts. The rooms themselves are what really won me over, though. They’re spacious without feeling cavernous, and whoever designed them clearly understands that travelers need actual storage space and decent lighting. The beds are legitimately comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, which is honestly a blessing when you’re trying to sleep.

What I appreciate most is that they seem to get the little things right – you know, the stuff that makes or breaks a stay but rarely gets mentioned in reviews. The wifi actually reaches every corner of the room, the shower has proper water pressure, and there are enough outlets near the bed for all your devices. I also noticed they keep the common areas clean without that overpowering chemical smell some places have. The 8.1 rating makes perfect sense to me – it’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, but it delivers consistently on what most people actually want from a hotel stay. There were a few minor quirks (the elevator’s a bit slow, and the lobby gets pretty quiet after 9 PM), but nothing that would keep me from booking again. Actually, I kind of liked the peaceful evening vibe – made it feel more like staying somewhere residential rather than in the middle of tourist chaos. If you’re looking for a place that feels more like a really nice temporary home than a generic hotel room, G&W Luxury Rooms is worth considering.

  The property is a lovely clean room and well appointed for coffee drinkers but not tea drinkers. The owners were responsive.
  
  What could be improved: It is was very hard for us to locate and we didn’t have internet so missed out on details to aid locating property. We also had problems locating key box and working the keys and locks but have encountered the same locks since so a matter of getting used to them. Perhaps not a problem to someone from Europe and more familiar with how things work. The room is good value though the corridor and building outside of the door is a bit basic. Under repair maybe. But this is not important once you are inside.

  Perfect place for a 3 night stay. Beautifully appointed apartment right where you want be for easily getting around Athens. Ermou St one street away and 5 mins from Syntagma Square Metro. .great security also. Will book again for next trip.
