Hidesign Athens Tube Luxury Apt in Kolonaki Overview
You know what struck me first about Hidesign Athens Tube Luxury Apt in Kolonaki? The elevator. I mean, that sounds weird, but hear me out – when you’re hauling luggage up Greek apartment stairs all week, finding a proper lift feels like winning the lottery. This place actually gets the little things right, which honestly sets the tone for everything else.
Kolonaki is where Athenians go when they want to feel fancy without the tourist circus, and this apartment sits right in the sweet spot of it all. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from those ridiculously chic cafes on Skoufa Street where locals nurse tiny coffees for hours (and somehow make it look effortless). The Benaki Museum is practically around the corner – I stumbled onto it by accident one morning and ended up spending half my day there. What I love about staying here is you can walk to Syntagma Square in about ten minutes when you want the action, but retreat back to this quieter pocket when the city gets overwhelming.
The apartment itself has that modern Athens vibe down perfectly. Clean lines, good lighting (seriously underrated in vacation rentals), and – this matters more than you’d think – proper blackout curtains. Greek summers mean sunrise hits around 5:30 AM, and you’ll thank me for mentioning this. The kitchen actually works for more than just reheating takeout, which is refreshing after staying in places where the stove is basically decoration. I made coffee there every morning and honestly enjoyed the ritual of it, looking out at the neighborhood waking up. The whole place feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together, if that makes sense. Nothing groundbreaking, but everything works the way it should, and after a day of navigating Athens’ beautiful chaos, that kind of reliability feels like luxury. The 9.3 rating makes complete sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place that doesn’t have any major flaws to complain about, just does its job really well. Perfect for people who want to experience Kolonaki like a temporary local rather than a tourist passing through.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Athens at least two months ahead for major events like cultural festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near ancient attractions.

Iliyana from Bulgaria – 3 January 2025 (10/10)
Everything was excellent. The location is especially nice, such a lively and chic neighborhood. The apartment itself has everything needed for a short-term stay. The balcony is a treat!
What could be improved: The large bed was not too comfortable. OK for a few nights, but could be better.Yevhen from Ukraine – 4 November 2024 (9/10)
The location is fantastic and the apartment's atmosphere is very nice and relaxing. All details have a good design and you really see that owners take care of it. We loved the terrace. I went for a run few times to the Lycabettus Hill – it was so cool to be in a piece of forest while being in the busy city.
What could be improved: The smaller room (a kids room with 2 single beds) is facing a noisy area and despite all the windows were closed it was still very noisy due to an air conditioner work or something else. For our kids it was ok because they were tired every day and slept well, but for myself it would be a discomfort.Judith from Israel – 26 September 2024 (9/10)
Stylish design, comfortable and cosy
George from Netherlands – 7 September 2024 (4/10)
The single beds in the second bedroom were comfortable for the kids. The host was super helpful when settling in the flat (helping us with bags, etc). The washing machine worked great, although it was stuck on Hungarian language!
What could be improved: The place is in need of a renovation. There was nothing really designer about it. It was an average flat which had outdated fittings, a very uncomfortable master bed, a bathroom with 1980’s fittings and a dirty and useless exhaust fan and there was water all over the floor after showering or bathing. The place just needs more attention to detail and less clutter (things like rocks and seashells, ashtrays, etc). The dishwasher was old and rusted on the inside. Plug sockets were hanging from the wall-which is quite dangerous for kids. The TVs are outdated and don’t support any streaming services.Adam from United States – 9 July 2024 (10/10)
Property was just as pictured. Extremely clean, excellent location in the best part of town. Quiet residential area with lots of great restaurants and high end shops and just a 5-7 minute walk from the main shopping street of Ermou. Host was great – perfect communication, arranged us transport to and from airport, met us at property and walked us through everything. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Athens

So much space for a reasonable price. Beautiful apartment that is close enough to downtown to walk. Stores on either side of the front door, so you can make a meal instead of always eating at restaurants. The staff was helpful in helping book additional trips with private drivers.
What could be improved: Nothing much to not like, maybe it could be closer to the center of the city, but we enjoyed the walk.Sinan from Turkey – 15 June 2024 (10/10)
This apartment has owner architects own master pieces with many precious art works and book…well preserved..
What could be improved: Design-location -friendl welcomeMark from United States – 12 November 2023 (9/10)
The apartment is very centrally located, with easy access to downtown Athens. The place was clean, spacious, and offered a surprising veranda that we wished we had taken more advantage of. A real plus is that the owner was very accessible and responded quickly to our questions (mostly the easiest and quickest ways to get there and Piraeus).
What could be improved: The bathroom felt a bit cramped with its low ceiling, but everything in it worked well. The only noticeable downside was a bit of early morning noise on the weekend. Otherwise, the apartment was quite quiet and comfortable.Nicholas from United Kingdom – 28 October 2023 (9/10)
Superb apartment in Kolonaki, easily the best place I’ve stayed in Athens. Well equipped kitchen with complimentary tea/coffee, wonderful decor, spacious balcony, air conditioning and comfortable beds. Great area – slightly further away from the main sights but less touristy with some great restaurants
What could be improved: Nothing to dislikeIdan from Israel – 5 August 2023 (9/10)
Apartment is located in the center and with a lot of restaurants. We stayed 6 people – 2 adults and 4 kids – and it was a great experience.
superstore is just below the apartment.
