There’s a little bakery around the corner where locals grab their morning coffee (not the tourist-trap kind, the real deal), and you’ll see kids heading to school in the mornings instead of just endless streams of tour groups. The area gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, which was perfect for me since I’m one of those travelers who actually needs decent sleep to function.

The breakfast situation is better than expected – nothing fancy, but they do fresh fruit well and the coffee is strong enough to prepare you for a day of temple-hopping. I appreciated that they didn’t try to do everything; instead of a mediocre buffet with fifty lukewarm options, they focused on getting the basics right. The service throughout the hotel has this effortless quality – not hovering, not absent, just there when you need them. Check-in was smooth even though I arrived earlier than expected, and they stored my luggage without any fuss when I had to leave before checkout on my last day. It’s those little things that make you want to come back, honestly.
