The first floor location means you get those high ceilings and large windows that Greek buildings from this era are known for, plus you’re not hauling luggage up four flights (been there, done that in this neighborhood).

What really sold me was how quiet it gets at night despite being so central. Kolonaki has this interesting rhythm where it buzzes during the day with shopping and café culture, then settles into this sophisticated calm after dinner hours. The 9.4 rating honestly makes sense when you experience how thoughtfully everything’s set up – from actually comfortable furniture (not just stuff that looks good in photos) to a kitchen where you can properly make breakfast instead of just heating up instant coffee. I ended up cooking a few meals because there’s this fantastic little market just a few streets over where locals shop, and honestly? Some of my best Athens memories happened right at that dining table, planning the next day over wine and takeaway souvlaki. The location puts you walking distance from the Benaki Museum and all those lovely squares where you can people-watch for hours, but you’re also close enough to Syntagma that you’re not isolated from the main tourist stuff if that’s your thing. It’s sort of the perfect balance – you feel like you’re living in Athens rather than just visiting it, which I think is exactly what they were going for with that whole “feel like home” concept.

  The location was pefect for us, quite and safe but not far from restaurants and bars. Also quite close to museums, the Acropolis and a huge park with very good walks. Well looked after.
  
  What could be improved: It's difficult to come up with anything that we didn't like as this is probably the most comfortable, best equiped and clean apartment that I've stayed in over the past 20 years.

  A very spacious one bedroom flat on the 1st floor of a very central road 2 minutes from the Kolonaki square. The dining/living room is beautifully decorated, the bedroom is very spacious and the kitchen well equipped.
