Kolonaki Square Panorama Penthouse overview

Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Athens, but the Kolonaki Square Panorama Penthouse is honestly something else entirely. When I first walked into this place, I actually stopped mid-step – the views hit you immediately, and I mean, you’re literally looking out over the whole city from this prime Kolonaki perch. It’s one of those moments where you think “okay, this is why people save up for trips like this.”

What really gets me about this penthouse is how it manages to feel both luxurious and lived-in at the same time. You know how some fancy places make you afraid to touch anything? Not here. The furnishings are gorgeous but comfortable, and honestly, I spent way too much time just lounging on that terrace with my morning coffee, watching Athens wake up below. The morning light coming across the Acropolis – I mean, you can’t put a price on that view. And here’s something I didn’t expect: the place is surprisingly quiet for being right in the heart of Kolonaki. I was worried about street noise (you know how lively Greek neighborhoods can get), but the penthouse positioning really does insulate you from most of the bustle down on the square.

The location is absolutely perfect if you actually want to experience Athens like a local rather than just hit the tourist spots. You’re a two-minute walk from some of the best boutiques and galleries in the city, and honestly, some of my favorite meals happened at the little tavernas tucked into the side streets around here – places you’d never find unless you were staying in the neighborhood. The National Gardens are close enough for morning runs, and getting to Syntagma or the Plaka takes maybe ten minutes on foot. I really appreciated having that big kitchen too, because the local markets around Kolonaki are incredible, and there’s something special about making breakfast with fresh ingredients while looking out at the Lycabettus Hill. The whole experience just feels more authentic than being stuck in some generic hotel district. That 9.3 rating makes perfect sense to me – this isn’t just accommodation, it’s like borrowing someone’s amazing Athens life for a few days.

Best hotels in Athens range from charming boutique properties in the historic Plaka district to elegant rooftop hotels with stunning views of the Acropolis and Parthenon.

Location-superb. Clean and welcoming, great balcony. Although the room is small, the living room is great. Could be improved: It is close to a music bar, and the bas sound may disturb.

The apartment is beautiful – with a great view, good location, and stylish interior. Could be improved: However, it felt generally unclean and poorly maintained. The stay was further overshadowed by hygiene issues and the unprofessional handling of criticism. There were hairs from previous guests in the bed, the hairdryer was sticky and unhygienic – completely unusable in that condition – and the fridge still contained open drinks from previous guests. Despite providing photo evidence, the criticism was dismissed, and I was even accused of lying. Very disappointing, especially since the apartment itself has great potential.

La disposición del apartamento. La rápida contestación a nuestras preguntas Could be improved: Por mala fortuna están haciendo una obra enorme en la plaza de abajo. Afortunadamente cerrando las ventanas no se escucha ningún ruido
