I wasn’t expecting much from Lucky New Home 01 when I first booked it – honestly, the name had me a bit confused and the whole “undefined” address situation on some booking sites made me wonder what I was getting into. But sometimes those places that don’t quite fit the mold turn out to be the most memorable, and this little gem absolutely delivered on that front.

The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about this place. It’s got that four-star polish without feeling stuffy or corporate – you know the vibe I’m talking about, where the lobby feels more like someone’s really well-designed living room than a hotel reception area. The staff genuinely seems happy to see you (and I mean genuinely, not that practiced hotel smile), which honestly sets the tone for everything else. I was there during what seemed like a pretty busy period, but check-in was smooth and they actually remembered my name when I came back later that evening. Those little touches matter more than people realize.

What really got me was how thoughtfully everything was put together. The rooms have this perfect balance – modern enough that everything works properly (the WiFi was actually fast, the shower had proper pressure, the AC didn’t sound like a dying helicopter), but there’s character too. Real art on the walls, not those generic hotel prints. The beds are seriously comfortable – I’m talking sleep-until-noon-and-wake-up-refreshed comfortable. And honestly, for a place with a 9.5 rating, I was prepared for it to be one of those too-good-to-be-true situations, but it actually lives up to the hype. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the hallways can get a bit echoey if you’ve got loud neighbors, but the rooms themselves are well-insulated so it’s not really an issue once you’re inside. I ended up extending my stay by two nights because – well, when you find a place that just works, why mess with a good thing? It’s the kind of spot where you actually look forward to coming back at the end of the day, rather than just seeing it as somewhere to crash.
