There’s this lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake – I’m talking about genuine marble details, high ceilings that actually make you look up and appreciate the space, and windows that frame the city in a way that makes you want to just sit there with your morning coffee for way longer than you planned. But honestly, the real star here is that rooftop garden. It’s not some tiny afterthought terrace – this is a proper outdoor space where you can actually see the Acropolis without craning your neck or fighting crowds. I spent most of my evenings up there, and you know what struck me? The way the light hits the ancient stones just as the sun’s setting… it’s one of those moments that makes you forget you’re in a bustling city of four million people.

What I really appreciated – and this might sound small, but it matters when you’re traveling – is how quiet the place gets at night. Athens can be pretty intense with the street noise, especially during summer when everyone’s out late, but this suite is positioned in a way that buffers most of that urban chaos. The 8.6 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s not trying to be a flashy international chain property, but it nails the things that actually matter. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward, the space genuinely feels special without being pretentious, and that garden… well, I found myself taking way too many photos up there, trying to capture something that really needs to be experienced in person. If you’re the type who values character over cookie-cutter convenience, and you want to wake up in Athens feeling like you’re living there rather than just visiting, this place gets it right in ways that surprised me.

  The views from the roof terrace were great. Bedrooms were a good size and the bathrooms fine although the showers did leak onto the bathroom floor.
  
  What could be improved: There was not quite enough furniture, not enough lounge seats for 6 persons either in the lounge or on the terrace. No bedside tables and only exactly 6 of each glasses, mugs etc. Although there were only 6 of us the place can sleep 8 persons so I don't know what happens then.

  This property and Yannis the host and airport transport provided were outstanding. The penthouse is gorgeous and location with perfect view of Acropolis and Zeus temple. Around the corner and down some ‘European’ steps is two markets, two breakfast/brunch places, and a very cool bar. Location is about 0.8 miles to the Plaka a location of local shops and great restaurants. Highly recommended.

  We chose this property for our stay in Athens based on previous reviews and the pictures. The roof view and bedroom is worth the price alone. The location of the property was perfect for access to all of the must see locations and the apartment was well kept and clean upon arrival. The hosts took care of our airport transport, relieving us of the hassle of navigating our way to and from the apartment with many large bags. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance, which was very helpful with our small child. We highly recommend this apartment and thank Yannis and Rena for helping make our stay in Greece feel like home.

  The location and view was just brilliant. The house was clean and well considered in every aspect. Seperate apartment with rooftop was amazing, washing machine much appreciated and used. Arranged airport transfers were brilliant as was the willingness to help wherever possible.
  
  What could be improved: Loved it all. If anything – more seating in the lounge and stair access for elderly, but this wouldn’t prevent me from staying.

  If you want the best look no further. This is the place for you!!! It is even better than the pictures. Very spacious 3 bedroom suite in the hill overlooking Acropolis, the temple of Zeus, the National Garden and Lycabettus hill both from indoor and the balcony. The cleanest apartment I have ever been to and super responsive hosts. They responded literally in seconds. The neighborhood is ideal for a tourist. Only 500 meters from Acropolis and 100 meters from Kallimarmaro yet relaxed and cosy comparing to the bustling touristic spots. You can discover how Athenians live and get a real taste of Athens.
