Maison7 – Acropolis Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Maison7 – Acropolis? It’s one of those places where the name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there. I mean, you’d think with a 9.2 rating it might be overhyped, but honestly – this boutique spot gets it right in ways that surprised me.
The location is pretty much unbeatable if you’re the type who wants to actually walk places instead of being stuck in tourist transport hell. You’re close enough to hear the city humming below, but far enough up that you get these incredible glimpses of the Acropolis that’ll make you stop mid-conversation. The building itself has this interesting blend going on – sort of modern minimalist meets classic Greek elements, which sounds terrible in theory but actually works. I stayed in one of their upper floor rooms and the morning light coming through those windows was… well, it’s the kind of thing that makes you want to skip your planned museum visit and just sit there with coffee for way too long.
What really sold me on the place, though, was how the staff seemed to genuinely know Athens beyond the obvious tourist spots. The guy at reception (I think his name was Dimitris?) didn’t just give me the standard “go to Plaka” spiel – he actually sketched out this little route through neighborhoods I never would’ve found otherwise. And the breakfast situation is surprisingly good for a boutique place. Nothing fancy, but they source from local spots and you can taste the difference in the honey and yogurt especially. The whole vibe is relaxed without being sloppy, professional without that sterile hotel feel that makes you feel like you’re bothering people by existing. I will say the rooms aren’t huge – this is definitely more about quality over space – but everything feels thoughtfully designed. The shower pressure is excellent (trust me, this matters more than you think when you’ve been walking Greek hills all day), and they’ve got this smart setup with the AC that actually keeps things comfortable without sounding like a jet engine. The only minor thing I’d mention is that street noise can be a factor if you’re a really light sleeper, but honestly, it’s part of the Athens experience and quiets down pretty reasonably at night.
To book a hotel in Athens during major archaeological events, travelers need early planning as this cradle of democracy draws visitors eager to experience its iconic Acropolis and vibrant Mediterranean culture.

A well finished very modern apartment within a great location. Beautiful lighting and decor which made it feel luxurious. Hosts very responsive and informative. Comfortable bed and robes and slippers were useful. Having Netflix a bonus.
What could be improved: Happy with everything.Micheala from United Kingdom – 23 May 2025 (9/10)
Perfect location. Very clean and loved the decor. Bed and pillows really comfortable. Loved having Netflix.
What could be improved: Only one stool on balcony and should have two.Tamar from Georgia – 21 May 2025 (10/10)
Nice apartment, very good bedding, clean and comfortable. 4 star hotel facilities. Netflix. Dimitris is person with perfect communication skills, supportive and all time ready to solve any request or problem. Thanks for his hospitality.
What could be improved: Location is perfect in the heart of city, with a lot of restaurants, clubs, but very noisy. People who have sleeping problems have to avoid Psiri area. These beautiful small streets are full of people and loud music from different places until 2-3 a.m. Young people will enjoy their stay.
Anyway our journal was perfect. Thanks to our host. Noise is not his fault.Ayca from Turkey – 19 May 2025 (10/10)
This was the best ever accommodation that we stayed in during our travels in Europe. The room was not a room but a small apartment, nice, cosy, spacious and very clean. Dimitri was a marvelous host, helpful and always smiling, and promptly replied to our messages.
Maison 7 will be the one and only place where we will stay on our next trips to Athens.Stephen from United Kingdom – 12 May 2025 (8/10)
Very comfortable and well thought out
What could be improved: Noisy locationPepijn from Netherlands – 3 May 2025 (8/10)
Great location. Bang on in the middle of where its happening.
What could be improved: Its designed nicely but – particularly the bathroom facilities- are not very practical and lack space.Grzegorz from Poland – 22 April 2025 (10/10)
The owner and host, Dimitris, is incredibly kind and helpful—thank you! The apartment was very nice and spotlessly clean. We found the short "guide" with recommendations for amazing dining spots exceptionally useful. "Nikitas" and "En Lordani" are absolutely incredible, even when compared to the Basque Country (Pais de Basco). The quality-to-price ratio here is unmatched by anywhere we’ve traveled so far (and we've visited Spain approximately 20 times!). The availability of a wine opener and wine glasses in the apartment was also a significant plus. The area around the hotel is artistic and lively, reminiscent of Dorsoduro in Venice. The sheer number of restaurants and bars is astonishing, which made the guide all the more helpful. This was our first visit to Greece, but it certainly won’t be our last—and our stay at Maison7 played an important role in making this experience so memorable.
What could be improved: The absence of chairs on the balcony was the only drawback.Despoina from Cyprus – 2 March 2025 (9/10)

This is a wonderful central place to stay for your trip to Athens.
The room is very spacious, clean and furnished tastefully. We were able to check in early and the room was warm, clean and had a lovely smell which was very welcoming.
The hosts are extremely responsive and clear with all instructions and directions. They were also able to store our bags until the evening, after checking out, so we were able to continue touring the city.
Thank you Living Stone Apartments for hosting us!Georgi from Germany – 8 January 2025 (9/10)
