Meliti Apartment in Plaka Overview
You know what struck me first about Meliti Apartment in Plaka? It’s tucked away just perfectly – far enough from the main tourist chaos around Monastiraki Square that you can actually sleep at night, but close enough that you’re still in the heart of everything. I mean, Plaka can be tricky like that. Some spots put you right next to those late-night tavernas where the bouzouki music goes until 2 AM (not always a bad thing, honestly), but Meliti manages to find that sweet spot where you get the neighborhood charm without the constant noise.
The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental – there are those little touches that matter, like proper coffee cups instead of those tiny hotel ones, and the kitchen actually has real plates and decent knives if you want to hit up the local market. The rating of 9.4 makes total sense once you’re there; it’s one of those places where everything just works without being flashy about it. The shower has proper water pressure (always a gamble in older Athens buildings), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing on the roof. Small victories, but honestly, these things can make or break a stay in summer heat.
What I really love about staying here is how it drops you right into actual Athenian life. You’ll walk the same narrow stone paths that locals use as shortcuts to avoid the crowds on Adrianou Street, and you start recognizing the regulars at the corner kafe who gather for their morning coffee and heated political discussions. The climb up to the Acropolis is literally a pleasant stroll from your door – not one of those “walking distance” situations that turns into a 20-minute trek in the sun. And here’s something the guidebooks don’t always mention: early morning or late evening, when the tour groups have cleared out, Plaka transforms into this incredibly peaceful neighborhood where you can hear church bells echoing off the ancient stones. The four-star rating feels right too – it’s got all the comfort and cleanliness you want without trying to be something it’s not. This isn’t a place with a fancy lobby and uniformed staff; it’s better than that. It’s where you stay when you want to feel like you’re actually living in Athens for a few days instead of just visiting it.
Hotels in Athens offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this ancient metropolis, with easy access to world-class museums, archaeological sites, and bustling markets.

Wonderful views and four yes four balconies. Love watching hustle and bustle of the wonderful street life below. Great restaurants and shopping close. As an author, the experience has given me so much to think about. Loved the B&B. The bedrooms were delightful. Kitchen is everything you will need.

The most amazing location in Athens with an incredible voew.
Paulo from United States of America (9/10)
I believe its location is the strongest point of this property. Very near to the main attractions (walking distance) and with everything around (nice restaurants, markets, pharmacies and subway). The apartment itself was nice, clean and well decorated, although it is in an old and not well maintained building (entrance was very dirty and elevator would barely fit 3 people). In overall, due to its comfort and easy location I would definitively recommend it.

Clean, modern, absolute perfect location!
Great communication with the host.
Supermarket, bakeries and cafés right downstairs. As we stayed 8 nights, the host even offered to send his cleaning person.
