Miracolo Overview

You know what? I almost walked right past Miracolo the first time I was looking for it — not because it’s hard to find, but because honestly, from the outside it doesn’t scream “hey, I’m an amazing hotel!” But that’s actually part of its charm, I think. Once you step inside though, you immediately get why this place has a 9.5 rating and why people keep coming back.

The lobby hits you with this warm, sophisticated vibe that feels more like walking into a really well-designed friend’s apartment than some stuffy hotel. The staff at check-in were genuinely helpful — not that rehearsed hotel-speak you usually get, but actual conversations about the area and what’s worth doing. I mean, the woman at the front desk told me which gelato place to skip (apparently the one everyone goes to isn’t actually the best one) and steered me toward this little spot that locals frequent instead. That kind of insider knowledge you just don’t get everywhere. The rooms are what really sold me on this place though. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just ordered in bulk from some hotel supply catalog. The bed was one of those where you sink in just right — not too soft, not too firm — and the linens actually felt expensive. I’m usually a light sleeper, but the soundproofing here is impressive; even though we weren’t on a particularly high floor, street noise was basically nonexistent. The bathroom had this rainfall shower that I honestly didn’t want to get out of, and they’d stocked it with toiletries that didn’t smell like generic hotel soap.

What really sets Miracolo apart is how they handle the little details that most places overlook. The WiFi actually works well throughout the building (I did some work calls from the room without any issues), and there are enough outlets positioned where you’d actually want to use them. The housekeeping staff somehow managed to be thorough without making you feel like they’d gone through all your stuff — you know that slightly unsettling feeling you sometimes get? None of that here. They even remembered how I liked my towels arranged after the second day, which was such a small thing but made it feel more personal. The location works really well too — you’re close enough to the main attractions that nothing feels like a trek, but far enough from the tourist chaos that evenings feel peaceful. I found myself actually looking forward to coming back to the hotel each day, which honestly doesn’t happen that often when I travel. For a four-star place, Miracolo punches way above its weight class, and I can see why they’ve managed to maintain such consistently high ratings.

Athens hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in Greece’s historic capital, known for its unparalleled ancient monuments and vibrant contemporary culture.

Reviews of Miracolo

The location was perfect with lots of shops, cafes and bars around. It was easily walkable to all of the major sites of Athens. The apartment itself was immaculate and had everything you needed, including a great balcony with an amazing view. The apartment owner was very kind, helpful and accommodating throughout the stay.

  • Madeline from United States of America (10/10)

The apartment was lovely, roomy and fully equipped. Even in November the huge balcony was a treat. Best of all was my host Thanos, who is an expert guide to Athens as well as a knowledgeable, caring and attentive host.
The location is great. A few steps away is a pedestrian area filled with a variety of restaurants. Close by are a number of museums and a metro stop. The street leads directly to the Acropolis Museum where there are dozens more restaurants and from where you can walk uphill to the Acropolis or follow a narrow winding shopping street that takes you past some important ruins, has small side streets leading into quiet areas of the Plaka or, if you continue on it, goes directly into a choice area of central Athens.

  • Antonela from Belgium (9/10)

Great location, walking distance to everything you’ll want to see and do.

  • Susan from United States of America (10/10)

Spacious accommodations for us. So nice to have enough room that we weren't underfoot of each other.
The host was more than accommodating. Had coffee pods, a bottle of water in the mini fridge. Maps and information was on the counter for us.
The location is convenient for walking to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum as well as coffee shops, restaurants, bars and grocers.
On our last day we found a great cafe' 2 blocks away. Could have eaten there daily.
Thanos was a considerate host and was always available if we had questions via phone or texting through Booking.com.
We highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to be away from the crowds of the nearby squares and are looking to exploring by foot.

  • Ellen from Belgium (9/10)

Very nice apartment in a neighbourhood with all facilities(metro, bakery, shop, pharmacy) and nearby the Acropolis (we would see it from the terrace!)

  • Irina from Canada (9/10)

Very good apartment, great location, exceptional communication with the owner, Thanos, that helped us find a Taxi service from the airport and addressed promptly any question throughout our stay.

  • Mioduszewski from United States of America (10/10)

This apartment was so comfortable and spacious. It was the best value of the 7 cities we traveled to in Europe. It is located one block from Singrou Fix train station and within walking distance to the Acropolis and Plaka. We felt very safe at all hours. It was furnished comfortably and tastefully. The kitchen had plenty of cooking utensils, dishes, soap and even tea, coffee and some spices, oils etc.

  • Anna from United States of America (9/10)

Close to everything, clean and comfortable. The owner was very attentive and it was also easy to pick up the keys.
