It actually lives up to both parts of its name – which honestly doesn’t happen that often with these rental descriptions. The location is where this place really shines though. I’m talking proper center-of-Athens central – you can literally hear the city humming around you, but not in an overwhelming way. More like… well, you know how some places make you feel like you’re part of the action without drowning in it? That’s this spot. You’ll find yourself walking to most of the major sites because honestly, why wouldn’t you when the Acropolis is practically beckoning from your window area. The neighborhood has that authentic Athens energy – locals grabbing coffee at the corner kafeneio, the occasional motorbike zipping past (though surprisingly, noise wasn’t really an issue when I was trying to sleep).

What I really appreciated were the small touches that someone who actually cares about travelers would think of. The kitchen setup is proper functional – not just pretty countertops with nowhere to put your groceries. There’s decent shower pressure, which… if you’ve stayed in enough European city centers, you know that’s not guaranteed. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the space, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing on the roof. I also loved that you get a real sense of living like an Athenian rather than just passing through. The building itself has character – you know, those slightly worn marble steps and old-school elevator vibes that remind you you’re somewhere with actual history. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that hunting-around-for-keys drama you sometimes get with apartment rentals. With an 8.3 rating and 4-star quality, it sits in that sweet spot where you’re getting genuine comfort without paying boutique hotel prices. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning extra time in Athens just because coming “home” at the end of each day feels so natural.

  The location is central and less than 5 minutes away from a excellent metro system and their ars plenty supermarkets and places to eat nearby A couple of issues regarding the kitchen there is no kettle though there is a coffee pod machine which I used to heat water for cups of tea but the water wasn't particularly hot also there is no plug points in the kitchen which I found a bit bizarre.The other issue if you are self catering even though there are two cooker rings there is only one pot which is the size of a soup pot!!
  
  What could be improved: There is a bit of confusion on arrival in that the booking.com app takes you to number 37 whereas the correct number is 19-21 also though some instructions were sent prior to arrival by the owner regarding the access number for the locked box on the wall the fact is there are 7 boxes so had to try everyone and it happened to be the last one that was correct .As regards the location their is a issue unfortunately with drug abuse and homeless and beggars which is a bit alarming

  The property is well located, couple minutes away from the metro. The flat was clean and cozy

  The apartment had everything we needed, AC and TV in the bedroom and the living room. The check in and check out was very easy with a code and the communication was also very good.
  
  What could be improved: The area is not the safest in Athens, so I would avoid walking there alone at night as a girl, but if you get out at the nearest Metro Station it is a really short walk to the apartment, so it's fine.

  The flat is clean, comfortable, it has all the utilities, near metro stations.
  The host is great, available and willing to answer and help with anything needed.
  
  What could be improved: The neighborhood is not clean, quite dangerous during the night.

  Have to start by saying that the host,Evagelia,was marvellous.Great communication, useful information and allowed us to enter early.The apartment is spacious,with a balcony and well equipped kitchen ( although a toaster and microwave would have been useful).
  
  What could be improved: The building itself is very poorly maintained with strange odours. Needs a complete update,
  The lift is a bit scary as the internal doors didn't work. The area is a bit dubious too…with lots of homeless people about, although we had no dealings with them. BUT once in the apartment, all is fine.
