You’ll hear church bells in the morning (there’s always a little Orthodox church tucked somewhere nearby), and the streets have that lived-in feel where locals are actually going about their daily business. I loved walking back in the evenings – the route takes you past a couple of those tiny family-run tavernas where the menu’s still in Greek only and the owner’s grandmother is probably in the kitchen. The building’s quiet enough that street noise isn’t really an issue, though you might catch some evening conversation from neighboring balconies, which honestly just adds to the authentic Athens experience. With that 8.8 rating, it’s clear other travelers have figured out what makes this place work – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, it’s just a really solid base for exploring one of the world’s most incredible archaeological sites without the tourist hotel markup or the trek from some distant neighborhood.

  Spacious, clean, well equipped apartment. Perfectly located close to the Acropolis, bars, restaurants and shops. Very quiet in spite of being on a busy road.

  Apartment was renewed and comfortable also for a family with 2 kids. We have found four 0,5lt bottles of water in the fridge, which was a nice courtesy in a warm Athens:) Apartment was clean. Position is top and next to Akropolis and the metro station.

  This is an extremely well-equipped and comfortable apartment. Great bed, shower, kitchen and we were grateful for the complimentary coffee and tea. It is quite spacious, great for a few days stay and very central. I wouldn't recommend it for longer stays as the windows look onto a wall and other windows, so you might feel a little exposed with the curtains open. But overall, it's great, and the communication with the host was seamless.
