Noho Apartments @ Akadimias Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Noho Apartments @ Akadimias on Themistokleous Street, you immediately get that “I’m staying somewhere locals actually live” feeling. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Athens, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you tried. The building has that classic Athenian charm — not flashy, but solid and welcoming in a way that makes you feel like you’ve found a real gem.
The Neighborhood Advantage
You know what I love about this spot? You’re literally steps away from Exarchia, which is where Athens gets interesting — think independent bookshops, late-night tavernas, and that authentic Greek energy tourists usually miss. The National Archaeological Museum is practically around the corner, and you can walk to Syntagma Square in about fifteen minutes. I mean, couples consistently rate this location 8.4 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why.
The Apartment Experience
These aren’t your typical hotel room — each apartment actually feels like a proper Athens flat. The kitchen setup is surprisingly well-equipped (I managed to make a decent Greek salad with ingredients from the local market), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The design strikes that perfect balance between modern comfort and Greek character — clean lines but with personality, you know? Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to enhance your stay. The spacious rooms provide comfort and privacy for all guests.
Living Like a Local
What really sets this place apart is how it lets you experience Athens like you actually live here. There’s a small grocery store two blocks down where the owner will chat with you in broken English about the best olive oil, and the corner café makes coffee that puts most hotel breakfast setups to shame. Having your own space means you can grab fresh bread and feta for breakfast, or come back between sightseeing sessions without feeling like you’re imposing on hotel schedules. The neighborhood truly welcomes visitors as part of the community. The convenient parking options nearby make exploring the wider Athens area effortless.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.8 rating really speaks for itself, but honestly, it’s the little things that make the difference here. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out — they’ll point you toward the family-run taverna that doesn’t even have a sign, or tell you which metro entrance to use to avoid the crowds. You’re not just staying in Athens; you’re getting a taste of what it’s like to belong here, even if it’s just for a few days. That authentic connection to the city is something you just can’t manufacture, and Noho Apartments gets it right. Guests consistently praise the welcoming atmosphere and local expertise. After a day of exploring ancient sites and bustling markets, returning to your well-appointed apartment feels like coming home to your own Athens sanctuary.

The apartment was great, everything looked as nice as in the photos, very bright and lots of natural light. The host was really nice and helpful at all times, they even let uf leave the luggage until we went to the airport. The apartment was super clean and the location was perfect, super near to the metro station and walking distance to the Acropolis. Overall we loved it.

The host was always reachable, responded to our messages very quickly, and made a great effort to help. The bed and towels were clean. The location of the house is really good, close to the metro. I could stay here again on my next visit.
Hande from Turkey (7/10)
I arrived in the city a little early. Although my room was not ready, they arranged a place for me to put my luggage. Their attention and interest was very good, I was always able to communicate. I liked that there is a practical security system when entering the room. The location is about 1 km from the center. However, it is advantageous to be away from the noise of the city. The room I stayed in was very clean.
