You’re close enough to all the major sites that you can walk to the Acropolis in about fifteen minutes, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds every time you step outside. There’s this little bakery around the corner that locals actually use – I grabbed coffee there most mornings and started recognizing the same faces, which always makes a place feel more authentic.

I’ll be straight with you – with a 9.8 rating, I was expecting maybe some inflated reviews, but after staying here, I get it. The host clearly knows what they’re doing, and it shows in those small touches that most places miss. The check-in was smooth (they actually met me at the apartment, which saved me from wandering around with my luggage), and when I had a question about the best route to Monastiraki, they didn’t just give me generic directions – they told me which streets to take to avoid the construction happening that week. That’s the kind of local insight you can’t fake. The location really does work in your favor too. You’re positioned where you can either walk to the historic center or hop on the metro easily, and there’s actual restaurants nearby where you’ll see Greek families eating, not just tour groups. The apartment stays surprisingly quiet at night considering you’re in the city, though you will hear some street life – but honestly, that’s part of the Athens experience, and the double-paned windows do their job well enough.

  Everything!! One of the best apartments we have ever stayed in. The facilities were outstanding and the kitchen perfect to cook and live in. We absolutely loved our 2 bedroom apartment and the balcony was an extra bonus. Despite being in a busy street we didn’t hear the noise below. Loved being able to do our laundry with complimentary detergent.
