Parthenon View Apartment Overview
You know what honestly surprised me about the Parthenon View Apartment? It’s one of those places where the name isn’t just wishful thinking – you actually do get that incredible Acropolis view that makes you stop mid-conversation and just stare. I mean, I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Athens that claim “Parthenon views” and you end up squinting between buildings trying to spot a marble column, but this place delivers on the promise in a way that actually made me get up early just to watch the sunrise hit those ancient stones.
The apartment itself feels like someone who really knows Athens decided to create the perfect home base for exploring the city. It’s got that lived-in comfort that’s so much better than sterile hotel rooms – you’ll find yourself making coffee in the morning (decent machine, by the way) and planning your day from the little balcony while the city slowly wakes up below. The neighborhood has this great mix of locals heading to work and tourists figuring out their metro cards, and honestly, that balance feels just right. You’re close enough to walk to all the major sites – the Acropolis Museum is maybe a 10-minute stroll – but far enough from the absolute chaos of Monastiraki that you can actually sleep at night without earplugs. The building itself is one of those classic Athens apartment blocks, nothing fancy from the street, but once you’re inside you realize the owners have put real thought into making it work for travelers. The Wi-Fi actually works (trust me, this matters more than you think in some Athens rentals), there’s proper air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing, and the shower has decent water pressure – small things that add up when you’re dealing with August heat and dusty archaeological sites.
What really sold me on this place, though, was discovering that little bakery around the corner where locals grab their morning coffee and pastries. The owner doesn’t speak much English, but he’ll nod approvingly when you order the spanakopita, and honestly, starting your day with that flaky pastry while watching Athens come alive… well, it beats hotel continental breakfast by a mile. The 9.5 rating makes total sense when you experience how everything just works smoothly here – from the easy check-in (no waiting around in lobbies) to having enough space to actually unpack your clothes and settle in for a few days. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself looking up flight prices to come back next year before you’ve even left.
Apartments in Athens provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Greek markets and cook with fresh Mediterranean ingredients.

Lovely apartment, amazing view, great location, wonderful host.
What could be improved: The shower is a bit small for big people!Jean-michel from France – 28 April 2025 (10/10)

Léa was fantastic
The welcome was greatTina from United States – 28 March 2025 (10/10)
Best location in the middle of a great eating n shopping area. The big patio with the view of the Parthenon was amazing.
What could be improved: Smallest shower on earth BUT every thing else made up for it. Our host went out of their way to provide fruit, wine, snacks, n even a diy pasta meal. But the gift bag of Greek souviners just blew my mind. You win as the best hosts ever n i have been around. The thoughtfulness of every item given or placed was appreciated. We will come back.Amanda from United States – 21 March 2025 (10/10)
The host provided a lot of free snacks which was great for our teenage boys. The view was incredible. The place pristine.
What could be improved: The twin beds were a little hard. The elevator was loud.Wolfgang from Austria – 7 November 2024 (10/10)
Everything was perfect and even better than expected. We stayed in many private accommodations all around the world, but we never before experienced a host like Lea, who thought of every detail and all the stuff you possibly could need during a vacation. The apartment is super safe with a secure door, super clean, has modern furniture and is equipped with all amenities. AC works fine. There are plenty of restaurants and snack bars in the surrounding, where we grabbed our food to enjoy the magnificent roof top terrace (the view is really stunning!), but you would also find all necessary cooking utensils in the kitchen. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Athens.

Absolutely amazing experience! Great location, near everything but still quiet. Communicative and so friendly owner! Wrap-around balcony is so great! Like a home!
Leanne from Canada – 14 October 2024 (10/10)
The location was great, the views were outstanding! The lit up Parthenon at night was spectacular. Super big wrap around balcony, lots of outdoor furniture. Great air conditioning. The apartment is very spacious. Our host had left us a great deal of goodies.
What could be improved: It was difficult to open the main door when it was locked. Appreciate it is a very old building, not sure if the key was bent a bit. We started off with wifi and then lost it. Leah, the host was very responsive.Shireen from Australia – 4 October 2024 (10/10)
We’ve been travelling for a month and this apartment has been our favourite so far!
Stunning full and clear view of the Parthenon, from a surprisingly large, wrap around balcony, fabulous central location, great sized rooms. Washing machine, dishwasher, amazingly welcoming and responsive hosts – easy and clear check in instructions, and lovely welcome packs in each bedroom and the kitchen, of little tasty and useful treats! Thanks so much Leah, you’ve been lovely and we’ve had an amazing stay! Can’t rate this one highly enough….. Will definitely be back again!Frances from Australia – 30 September 2024 (9/10)
The apartment is the perfect location to be able to walk to all the major attractions in Athens. The view from the balcony towards the Parthenon is the perfect place to sit and relax after a day of sightseeing. The apartment was well equipped with many thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack, charging cables, umbrellas, and additional linen. Contact with the hosts was easy and replies were prompt. We could not fault any aspect of our stay in the apartment and would not hesitate to recommend to others.
