Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Athens, and Plaka Premier Stay – Steps from Acropolis Museum and Metro honestly surprised me in the best way possible. When I first walked up to the building, I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical – you know how some hotel names can oversell the location? Well, this one actually undersells it. I mean, you’re literally around the corner from the Acropolis Museum, and I could see people walking back from their morning visits while I was having coffee on my little balcony.

The thing that really got me was how quiet it stays despite being right in the thick of everything. I was worried about street noise since Plaka can get pretty lively, especially in the evenings when all the tavernas fill up, but the rooms face away from the main pedestrian streets. Actually, the sound of distant bouzouki music drifting up around 10 PM was kind of charming – not loud enough to keep you awake, just atmospheric enough to remind you where you are. The Metro station (Acropoli, if you’re looking at maps) is maybe a two-minute walk, which saved me so much time getting to and from the airport. No dragging luggage over cobblestones for blocks like I’ve had to do at other Plaka hotels.

What really impressed me was the attention to detail – and I’m usually pretty picky about these things. The AC actually works well (trust me, this matters in August), the shower has proper pressure, and there’s enough storage space that I didn’t have to live out of my suitcase. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood too. When I mentioned wanting to find a good souvlaki place that wasn’t touristy, the guy at the front desk didn’t just point me toward the obvious spots on Adrianou Street. Instead, he sent me to this tiny place on Epicharmou where locals actually eat – best gyros I had in Greece, honestly. That’s the kind of insider knowledge you don’t get at the big chain hotels. The whole experience felt more like staying at a friend’s place who really knows Athens, rather than just being another tourist passing through. With a 9.9 rating, I expected it to be good, but it exceeded even those high expectations. If you’re planning to spend your days exploring the ancient sites and your evenings wandering Plaka’s winding streets, this place puts you right where you want to be without the chaos of being directly on the main tourist drag.

  Excellent emplacement, Éric est très réactif. L’appartement est très propre, récent, avec tout le confort nécessaire.
  La chambre parentale est très grande avec énormément de rangement. La 2nde chambre est petit, malgré un grand lit. Conviendrait mieux à un enfant/ado car il n’y a qu’une commode côté rangement.
  Les lits, la couette et les oreillers sont d’excellente qualité, très confortable.
  La sdb est parfaite, beaucoup de pression et de l’eau chaude immédiate (sans avoir à activer le chauffe-eau comme c’est souvent le cas en Grèce)
  
  What could be improved: Le gros bémol (mais il semble qu’il s’agisse d’un problème de l’annonce en français) est qu’il n’y a qu’une seule salle de bain et non 2 comme indiqué, ce qui a rendu les choses compliquées.
  
  Éventuellement (pour chipoter) prévoir un peu plus de café et de produit de toilette notamment pour les séjours de presque une semaine.

Apartament bardzo dobrze wyposażony, przestronny i funkcjonalny. Blisko najważniejszych atrakcji i na spokojnej oraz bezpiecznej ulicy. Świetny kontakt z właścicielem. Dziękujemy za wszelkie wskazówki i możliwość zostawienia bagaży wcześniej niż czas zameldowania oraz za przygotowanie specjalnej pościeli dla alergika. Było super 👍

  El apartamento es ideal para cinco-seis personas. Está decorado con muchísimo gusto y tiene todo lo que puedas necesitar. La cocina, equipadísima. Muy acogedor. Limpieza impresionante. El anfitrión es una persona accesible y 100% volcada en hacerte la estancia agradable. El día de llegada nos dejó depositar los equipajes antes de la hora de check-in, mientras se terminaba de limpiar el apartamento; y el día de salida nos dejó quedarnos una hora extra sin cargo. Sus recomendaciones turísticas fueron muy acertadas.
  
  Sin duda, repetiremos allí cada vez que volvamos a Atenas.

  The host, Eric, was incredible. We had a very late check in but he was constantly available and ensured we had a very smooth check in. Not only did he share all the details with us beforehand but was also constantly checking with us if everything was smooth.
  
  The location of this apartment is the absolute best there can be. It's centrally located with Acropolis and the museum just minutes by walk. So many markets also at walking distance. Staying at this apartment means you can cover the main attractions of Athens by foot.
  
  The apartment itself was stunning. It was super clean and had everything one can need during their stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with all essentials and the bathrooms had toiletries & towels. The attention to detail for any needs of the guests was impeccable.
  
  I would highly recommend anyone visiting Athens to definitely consider staying at this apartment. Truly made our Athens experience so much better.
