I’ll be honest – when I first heard about the Premium Apartment in Historic Athens City Plaka, I was a bit skeptical about the “premium” part. I mean, Plaka can be touristy as hell, and sometimes that means sacrificing quality for location. But you know what? This 4-star spot actually delivers on its promise, and after staying here twice now, I get why it maintains that solid 8.4 rating.

The thing about being right in Plaka is that you’re literally walking on streets that have been buzzing with life for centuries. Step out the door and you’re maybe three minutes from Anafiotika – that tiny neighborhood that feels like you’ve been teleported to a Greek island – and the Acropolis is so close you’ll probably get tired of the perfect photo ops from your window. What I really love though is how the apartment manages to give you that historic Athens vibe without the usual drawbacks. The walls are thick enough that you’re not hearing every conversation from the tavernas below (trust me, this matters when you’re trying to sleep and there’s a group of Australians debating whether moussaka is better than souvlaki at 2 AM).

The apartment itself feels genuinely premium rather than just calling itself that. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to grab ingredients from the little markets on Adrianou Street – and honestly, making Greek coffee in the morning while looking out at ancient ruins never gets old. I particularly appreciate that they’ve managed to blend modern comforts with the building’s character. The bathroom has proper water pressure (not always a given in this neighborhood), and the AC works well enough for those brutal July afternoons when even the locals are hiding indoors. The WiFi is solid too, which matters if you’re trying to research which museum to hit next or figure out ferry schedules for the islands. One thing worth noting – parking is basically impossible around here, but that’s true for all of Plaka. If you’re driving, you’ll want to use one of the paid lots on the periphery, but honestly, once you’re settled in this location, you won’t need a car anyway. The metro station at Monastiraki is a short walk, and everything else worth seeing in central Athens is within walking distance, even if you’re not particularly ambitious about hiking uphill.

  Appartment is very nice, with the feel of Paris flats 🙂 Air-conditioned, clean and comfortable. With awesome location just in the city centre – Plaka area. The flat definitely gave the feeling of Athens. Suitable for 4 people.
  
  What could be improved: Bathroom smelled really bad. Probably problem of the whole buidling, but need to be taken care of. There are many late night coffee bars directly on the street, but facing living room, so it is really quiet in both bedrooms.

  The look and feel, and the location which is very convenient for exploring Athens. The staff are friendly and communicative. I would stay again overall quite nice.
  
  What could be improved: Something to be aware of is the lack of TV if you want a break from your phone. WiFi didn't work whilst there but sure that is a temporary situation. Bathroom is tired, you need to hold the shower head while you wash for example.

  非常好的住宿！房东人很好。由于我们是因为飞机机票的问题，临时需要在雅典住宿一晚。但没想到临时定的住宿会超出预期！！！房东知道我们有提前入住的需求之后，积极的联系我们并且让我们提前入住。这对于我们来说是非常大的帮助，让我们可以得到更好的休息。
  房间干净整洁，床铺也很舒服。
