Renovated apartment close to Exarchia square Overview

First Impressions

The Renovated apartment close to Exarchia square honestly surprised me — in the best way possible. I mean, you walk into this four-star place and immediately notice how thoughtfully everything’s been put together. The renovation work here is actually impressive, with modern touches that don’t feel sterile or cold. You know what struck me most? How they managed to keep that authentic Athens character while making everything feel fresh and contemporary. Every corner reflects careful planning and quality craftsmanship.

Location & Neighborhood

Being just steps from Exarchia square is honestly perfect if you want to experience the real Athens. This neighborhood has this incredible energy — it’s where locals actually hang out, not just tourists. You’ve got amazing coffee shops, traditional tavernas, and some of the city’s best street art literally around the corner. The square itself becomes this lovely gathering spot in the evenings, and I found myself just sitting there watching the world go by more than once. The vibrant atmosphere here is truly unmatched.

The Space

The apartment itself feels much more spacious than you’d expect from the photos. The renovation really opened things up, and there’s this nice flow between the living area and sleeping space. What I loved most was the attention to detail — good lighting (which matters more than people think), quality linens, and a kitchen that’s actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the local market. The bathroom renovation is particularly well done, with modern fixtures that work properly — you’d be surprised how rare that can be in some Athens accommodations. Storage solutions are thoughtfully integrated throughout.

Practical Perks

Here’s something couples will appreciate — the place has this intimate vibe without feeling cramped. The room setup works really well for two people, with enough space to spread out but cozy enough to feel romantic. Air conditioning works brilliantly (trust me, you’ll need it in summer), and the Wi-Fi is actually reliable. There’s also decent soundproofing, which matters since Exarchia can get lively at night. The building itself is well-maintained, and getting in and out is straightforward. Climate control and connectivity are both excellent.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets this place apart is how it connects you to authentic Athens life while keeping you comfortable. You’re not stuck in some touristy bubble — you’re in a neighborhood where real Athenians live and work. The walk to major sites like the Acropolis is totally doable, but you’re also perfectly positioned to discover those hidden gems that most visitors miss. I think that’s why couples rate it so highly — there’s something romantic about staying somewhere that feels genuinely local rather than generic. Plus, the value for what you get is honestly excellent, especially considering that 9.6 rating from recent guests isn’t just hype. This apartment truly delivers on all fronts.

To book a hotel in Athens during major archaeological events, travelers need early planning as this cradle of democracy draws visitors eager to experience its iconic Acropolis and vibrant Mediterranean culture.

George was great!! Beautiful place and great location. Near bus stop, food and coffee, and nightlife. The pictures doesn't do justice, the balcony was great. They thought of everything to keep the guest comfortable. Couldn't recommend it enough! Thanks for the hospitality, Geroge

  • Rebeccaa from Australia (8/10)

Easy access and communication from the owner
    Good facilities

  • Maria from Belgium (9/10)

The proximity to the city center and the main attractions. All kind of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants around. It is a special area in you ask me. Narrow streets, up on hill, a lot of plants around . If you come with your own car it can be a bit of a challenge. There are parkings around with decent prices. The owner was very friendly and left a very well equipped apartment. I was so happy to find coffee, make up removal pads and even make ip removal. Really nice!

  • Hendricksen from Germany (10/10)

In the pictures everything seemed normal. But when you arrive you will notice that the apartment is way bigger than it looks. AC in various rooms, in order to leave the whole apartment cool and a spacious bathroom with a separated toilet.
Even a spacious balcony and a local market nearby.
In my opinion the value of the place exceeds the price you pay.

    10 out of 10.

  • Brian from Australia (9/10)

This is a fantastic unit and base for a visit to Athens. We caught the metro from the airport and got off at Syntagma. You can walk from there but with our bags we caught a taxi – 4 Euro. Exarchia is a fabulous neighborhood and within easy reach of the Archeological Museum, National Library and Parliament House. Spiro, the owner, provided plenty of good info prior to our arrival and was easy to contact by WhatsApp during our stay. The unit is comfortable and a lift gets you to the 4th floor. Lovely balcony, bedroom and kitchen/living area. So many great restaurants – Spiro will be happy to recommend. Local bakeries everywhere and mini-marts to help you stock up if you are planning to cook. Great for two people. Can't recommend highly enough.
