The windows are generous too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to get oriented in a new city. I actually found myself making coffee in the morning and planning the day from the couch instead of rushing out immediately – that’s usually a good sign for me.

But here’s the thing that really got me: step outside and you’re literally in the shadow of the Acropolis. I’m talking about a five-minute walk, maybe less if you’re eager. And not just to some random entrance – you’re positioned perfectly to hit the main archaeological sites without dealing with the tourist bus chaos that happens further out. The Acropolis Museum is practically around the corner, which is brilliant because you can pop back to the apartment for a break (trust me, you’ll want one after all that marble and history). The neighborhood itself has this lived-in feel – there’s a little bakery where the owner actually remembers your order after two days, and these narrow streets that somehow stay relatively quiet despite being so central. Well, quiet for Athens anyway.

What really impressed me was how well everything worked. The AC kept up with the summer heat (and if you’ve been to Athens in July, you know that’s no small feat), the wifi was solid enough for video calls back home, and the kitchen had actual grown-up appliances. I mean, I could make a proper breakfast instead of living on hotel pastries. The shower pressure was decent too – again, one of those details that sounds minor until you’re dealing with a trickle of lukewarm water somewhere else. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no drama with keys or confusing building entrances that seem to plague some apartment rentals.

The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there. It’s not trying to be fancy or Instagram-perfect, but it nails the fundamentals: location, space, comfort, and that intangible feeling of having a proper base in the city. You’re close enough to walk to Monastiraki and Plaka for dinner, but far enough from the main tourist strips that you’re not dealing with crowds outside your door at all hours. Honestly, after staying here, going back to a cramped hotel room near Syntagma Square would feel like a downgrade.

  Je recommande à 100% cet appartement . J’y étais pour le we de l’ascension avec mes 2 enfants.
  Le Check in et le Check out sont très simples et la communication avec le propriétaire est très fluide.
  L’emplacement est top, quartier super sympa et calme, plein de bons restaurants pas trop cher.
  L’appartement est propre et la literie est de qualité
  Vraiment tout était parfait
  Et si j’ai la chance de revenir dans cette superbe ville je reviendrai ici sans hésitation

  Il y a eu un problème d’eau, l’intervention du propriétaire a été rapide et il a compensé cet inconvénient en nous permettant de garder l’appartement jusqu’à 18h le jour du départ

  What could be improved: Un four à micro ondes serait le bienvenu pour les soirs où l’on ne veut pas sortir, mais bien manger quand même des plats tout préparés

  I forgot to take pictures but the photos of the apartment are accurate with what is on website. Beds super comfy. Had a power outage in building, owner responded to me within minutes until rectified. This was also 1030 at night. Very clean. Had basics for coffee/tea in the am. Great couple of pedestrian streets one block away for bakery, meals, taverns. About 15 minute walk to Acropolis Museum.
  
  What could be improved: A lot of people had messaged hand held shower they didn't like. This does not bother us however.

  Spacious apartment. Apartment on the 3rd floor (with elevator) in a reasonably quiet side street. Well-suited for shorter and longer stays.
  
  2 well-sized separate bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Multiple pillows available. Quality satin bedlinnen. All rooms have access to a balcony. Manual window blinds. All rooms have their own A/C-unit. Good size wardrobes, multiple light settings. Double glazing keeps out street noise effectively.
  
  The apartment could do with a bit more decoration, the interior is quite minimalistic.
  
  WiFi network sufficient for basic remote working, 50/5 Mbps.
  
  Functional kitchen with all amenities, electrical stove and oven. I was only missing a microwave and kitchen towels. Would have appreciated complimentary salt, pepper, sugar, tea and coffee.
  
  Typical low-ceiling bathroom. If you're taller than 1,80m, it could feel lowish. Bathtub instead of a shower cabin. Handheld showerhead. Could use a showerhead sliding rod for more comfort. Laundry machine available.
  
  Detergents and cleaning tools available. Only missing vacuum cleaner.
  
  Multiple supermarkets nearby. Lively Olimpiou street with restaurants and bars around the corner. 24/7 bakeries and foodcourt nearby. Metro station Syggrou/Fix (M2/red line) and also lively Drakou street within 5 minutes walk. Akropolis Museum within 10 minutes walk.

  I liked my stay in this apartment a lot! It’s very well located and close to nice bars, bakeries and restaurants. The apartment is spacious, clean and quiet. The beds are really comfortable, I slept like an angel. Finally the host is really nice and helpful. Thank you!
  
  What could be improved: Minor suggestions could be some more toiletries, a bigger toilet bin and some general kitchen stuff (salt/pepper), but all in all it was great.
