Square’s View Agia Paraskevi Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Square’s View Agia Paraskevi, you immediately get the sense that this four-star hotel knows exactly what it’s doing. The building sits perfectly positioned in this quieter Athens suburb, and honestly, the name makes complete sense once you see how it overlooks the charming local square. There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the place — it’s polished and well-maintained without trying too hard to impress you with flashy details.
The Agia Paraskevi Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying in this neighborhood — you’re getting an authentic slice of Athenian life without the tourist chaos of central Athens. Agia Paraskevi has this wonderful residential feel where locals actually live and work, not just somewhere people pass through with cameras. The metro connection means you can reach the Acropolis or Syntagma Square easily enough, but when you come back in the evening, you’re in a place where Greeks grab coffee and kids play in the square. It’s that perfect balance between accessibility and genuine local atmosphere that’s honestly pretty rare to find.
The Rooms
The accommodations here strike that sweet spot between comfort and style without going overboard. My room had clean lines, quality bedding, and — this matters more than you’d think — really good blackout curtains for those afternoon naps after walking around Athens all morning. The bathrooms are modern and well-appointed, with decent water pressure (always a concern in older European buildings). What really stood out was the attention to practical details — plenty of outlets, good lighting for reading, and storage space that actually makes sense for travelers.
Local Life and Dining
You know what’s great about this location? Step outside and you’re immediately in the rhythm of neighborhood life. There are traditional tavernas within walking distance where you’ll hear more Greek than English, which I mean as the highest compliment. The local bakery opens early and fills the morning air with the scent of fresh bread and pastries. For dinner, you’ve got options ranging from casual souvlaki spots to more upscale restaurants, and the prices are noticeably better than what you’ll pay in Plaka or Monastiraki.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.5 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen — it reflects something real about how this place operates. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience, offering local recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist sites. Couples particularly appreciate the peaceful evenings and the romantic feel of the square at night, which explains why they rate the location so highly. It’s the kind of place where you can have both the authentic Athens experience and a proper night’s sleep, which honestly isn’t always easy to find in this city. The hotel delivers on the fundamentals while giving you access to a side of Athens that many visitors never discover.
To book a hotel in Athens during the open-air festival season, visitors plan ahead to balance museum mornings with rooftop dinners under the Parthenon.

Nice location. Not in the middle of tourist town so food in the area was less pricey. Close to bus and metro to get you where you need to go in a timely manner. Terrace view was great. Relaxing atmosphere . Host was great.. perfect for solo or couple.

In fact everything. First of all location – it was on walking distance to the institute where I had the meeting, besides all important buses have stops on the Agia Paraskevi square – to the institute, to the airport and to the city center. Below the apartment is nice large square with park and plenty of restaurants. In the evenings it can be loud, but that's part of the life. Then I liked the terrace – it was nice, large… so I preferred to eat giros pita on the terrace rather than in the restaurant (giros pitas from the PitaPan are very tasty). The apartment is tiny, but modern, fully equipped, in the kitchen is everything one needs for cooking. The bathroom is very small, but there is very modern shower which I really enjoyed. The host Panagiotis was very helpful.
