I actually made breakfast a few times instead of hunting down cafes every morning, though honestly, with Thanasis just around the corner for souvlaki, it’s hard to resist wandering out.

The location is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without the tourist trap feeling. Sure, Syntagma gets busy during the day (especially when there’s a protest or demonstration happening at the square – classic Athens), but evenings have this nice energy where locals and visitors kind of blend together. You can walk to the Ancient Agora in about ten minutes, or head up toward Kolonaki for dinner without needing metro tickets or taxis. The building itself feels solid and well-maintained – you know how some Athens buildings can be a bit… temperamental with things like elevators and water pressure? Not an issue here. I never had any problems with the WiFi either, which matters when you’re trying to plan day trips to the islands or just want to video call home without cutting out every five seconds.

What really impressed me was how the 4-star rating actually means something here – it’s not inflated or misleading. The 9.3 rating makes sense once you’ve spent a few nights. The space feels genuinely luxurious without being stuffy, and there’s attention to details that matter, like blackout curtains that actually block light and a shower with decent water pressure. The only minor thing I’d mention is that weekend nights can get a bit lively outside – but honestly, that’s Syntagma for you, and it usually dies down by midnight. If you’re planning to stay here during summer, the air conditioning works well, which is crucial because July in Athens doesn’t mess around. I’d definitely come back, especially if I’m traveling with family or friends who want space to spread out while still being right in the center of everything.

  We loved the area. Very central but not a busy alley. Nice little local restaurant nearby. Easy to get anywhere! Very kind and cooperative hosts. Big apartment with very nice balcony. very private access. Note that there are steps to reach the elevator.

  Location was amazing. 15 minutes walk to Accropolis. Very comfortable and clean. Host was very accommodating. We were delayed a day because of the Microsoft global outage and Nasos was so helpful and understanding. Would highly recommend.

  Everything was excellent, the apartment was very close to all points of tourist interest and nearby metro station. Also sone basic nice restaurants right downstairs. Additionally the place was cleaned to perfection. In spite of being in a busy area, it was super quiet and comfortable to sleep. Extra points for the cold water bottles and ice in the fridge. The hosts are very responsive and helpful and super accommodating. The ride to the airport was also very pleasant. Definitely will come back. Good for families or friends, very spacious.
  
  What could be improved: Although not a big issue, the door downstairs was a bit heavy to manoeuvre around to open and the stairs in front a bit tight when bringing suitcases but not a problem.
