You know what caught me off guard about The Lekka Hotel & Spa? Walking into the lobby, I expected another cookie-cutter four-star place, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about this spot that makes you want to kick off your shoes and stay awhile. The whole vibe is sort of upscale-casual – if that makes sense – where you can wear flip-flops to breakfast without feeling underdressed, but the service still makes you feel like you matter.

The spa part isn’t just a marketing afterthought, either. I mean, I’m usually skeptical when hotels throw “spa” in their name, but they’ve actually got therapists who know what they’re doing. I grabbed a massage after a long day of meetings (honestly, my shoulders were killing me), and the masseuse didn’t just go through the motions – she actually worked out those stubborn knots. The treatment rooms have this subtle eucalyptus scent that’s relaxing without being overwhelming, and the whole spa area feels separate from the main hotel bustle. You’ll hear soft music and maybe some muffled conversation from the relaxation lounge, but none of that elevator-ding chaos from the lobby.

What really sold me on this place, though, was the attention to details that actually matter when you’re traveling. The rooms have plenty of outlets near the bed (thank god), the shower pressure is solid, and – this might sound weird – but the curtains actually block out light when you close them. I can’t tell you how many hotels mess that up. The bed was firm enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been sleeping on a marshmallow, and the pillows struck that perfect balance between supportive and soft. Check-in was smooth too – no standing around waiting while they “find your reservation” or any of that nonsense. The staff genuinely seems to have their act together, which makes the whole experience feel effortless. The 8.2 rating makes total sense to me; it’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, but everything works the way it should, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re away from home.

  The hotel is very beautifully designed, has confortable beds and is very well located, in a pleasant neighborhood where you can walk to lots of nice restaurants, bars and shops and also to the acropolis. View from the rooftop is beautiful

  Location, furniture and staff are amazing. The hotel is brand new and very well finished, clean and decorated.

  Excellent location close to attractions and city centre, nice modern space. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, hotel amenities were provided as well as a coffee machine. There is also a safe that you can use , a hairdryer, a small fridge for drinks and a nice big flatscreen.There was a view of Parthenon from the roof (although the roof was closed for winter). The girl in spa Melina was very friendly and did a great job both with facial and body treatments! She made me feel comfortable right away !The spa was rather small but perfect for a couple or a small group of people. Breakfast was ok but make sure not to get there close to the end as there won’t be many options available. There was room service provided on a daily basis but you can always skip it if you’re not feeling comfortable with that. We went with the second option yet, fresh towels were provided whenever we needed them.

  It was just what we needed as a couple to relax for 2 days.
  A city-center stylish spa hotel with a cozy room and a modern bathroom ! A fine and rich breakfast with friendly service and reception. Vasilis at the Spa was very helpful too! The jacuzzi and sauna was the key for us to relax. I will definitely come back !

  Boutique style spa hotel lovely place, modern comfortable stay and never been in a hotel where there is a pillow menu! Customer service was fantastic they even booked my birthday meal for me and made recommendations. I enjoyed the relaxing massage here. They even upgraded me to a family suite on a high floor for my birthday free of charge. The location of the hotel was spot on if you want to be near the Oxford street of Athens and close to all the squares. Also there is a fantastic view of the acropolis from the rooftop which was mesmerising at sunset.
