The neighborhood has this authentic Athens vibe – you’ll hear locals chatting on their balconies in the evenings, and there’s this little bakery around the corner where the owner will remember your coffee order by day three (if you’re lucky enough to stay that long). The rooms themselves are spacious in a way that surprised me – I’ve stayed in plenty of boutique places where “luxury” apparently means “no room to open your suitcase properly,” but here you actually have space to breathe. The design walks this nice line between modern comfort and subtle nods to Greek style without going full cliché with the blue and white everywhere.

What really sets this place apart though is the spa situation – and I say this as someone who usually finds hotel spas either disappointing or ridiculously overpriced. The treatments here feel genuine, not like they’re just going through the motions. The therapist I had actually asked about my travel schedule and tailored the massage accordingly, which was a nice touch I wasn’t expecting. The 4-star rating might make you think it’s missing something compared to the big-name 5-star places, but honestly? Sometimes those extra touches at the premium hotels are just fluff anyway. Here you get the good stuff – excellent service, quality amenities, really comfortable beds – without paying for marble imported from some remote Greek island or whatever. The 8.8 rating makes total sense when you experience it firsthand. Check-in was smooth (they actually had my room ready early, which never happens), and the staff strikes that perfect balance of being helpful without hovering. One small thing – if you’re a light sleeper, maybe mention it when booking because some rooms face the street side and Athens doesn’t exactly quiet down early. But that’s city life, you know? Overall, it’s one of those places that just gets it right without trying too hard to impress you. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want after a long day of exploring.

  The location was excellent. The concierge/ receptionist Anastasia was extremely helpful when the AC wasn't working – able to provide a portable fan when required etc.

  Location was excellent – close to restaurants, public transport and shopping. There was a wonderul spa/hammam in the property which was awesome. There was a terrace, ideal for coffee. Sofa bed was comfortable for a second guest.
